Yes, this (and the Cass and Varric picture) were featured in the Game Informer coverage of DA: I back in 2013. They are now being released with high quality for the public.

 

And yes, that means these are actually Pre-Alpha!!! The game looks so much better now, which is mindblowing!

I'd have to say Morrigan, though Leliana would be a close second, Varric is pretty cool as well. Cullen on the other hand, I don't like and would love to get a hold of him with my mage.

About the game? Depends. We know roughly what happens at the start of the game and some main actors in the restauration of the Inquisition, but it was stated by the devs.
Not much else was shared, other then the general plot in the Hinterlands, the Exalted plains, Halamshiral and Empris du Lion.

I'm going to say Leliana given she's generally my favorite BioWare character -- That is to say how she was in Origins anyway. But I think the companion I'm most intrigued about returning is Varric. I'd like to know more about him and he was generally an excellent character amongst the few I liked in Dragon Age 2.

 If you're asking whether it's part of the sky box, no, it is something we can enter, whatever it is. It's probably one of the Keeps we get to... well, keep.

I hope they release some pictures from Leliana with her blue eyes soon. Wasn't that eye color bug fixed already?

 

Speaking of that bug, I'm now wondering whether Vivienne is supposed to have brown eyes (my guess) or those icy blue eyes?

She's in Empress Celene's advisor court as her arcane advisor. In one trailer she appeared with the Inquisitor and Cullen, when the latter is rallying the Inquisition's soldiers.
It seems possible based on some interviews that she might join the Inquisition as well, but It's not sure.
