...that the Archdemon would turn out to be no less than Loghain himself, on their first playthrough? I did and at some point was really sure of it (of course the fact that I got to kill Loghain dispelled my delusions). :)

Anyone else?

No, no and a no.

I did not at any point suspect Loghain of being a corrupted dragon.

why would you even THINK that??? After the joining it shows you a ****ing BIG ASS Dragon standing over all the darkspawn. Later on you ask if that was the Archdemon and alistair is like Yes!

No but I was very suspicious until about the middle of the game about the whole Tower of Ishal thing.

Nope - I didn't even suspect that he might possessed, as some did.

No but then I read the prequel book and knew Loghain was just a dude who really really hates Orlesians.

I didn't go as far as to wonder if he was the archdemon, but I did think he might be possessed.

The AD being Loghain in disguise made perfect sense to me, right up until I killed him that is ;)

Lol, I must have a really wicked mind then... Even after dreaming of the dragon, there was nothing to suggest me that Loghain could not have been the Archdemon in human form, or possessed by. Also, all of Loghain's actions, which seemed to only expose Ferelden more and more to the darkspawn threat, kind of confirmed my suspicion... Until the Landsmeet, that is.

Well, I was wondering for a while, 'cuz his pale skin and those big black brusies under his eyes make him look a little like he's suffering from Darkspawn taint.

I like him better for just being a complete git though.

I actually half suspected Duncan to turn out to be evil ala Jade Empire.

Yeah, having not read either of the books before my first playthrough, I was quite suspicious as to Loghain's reasons for "betrayal" at Ostagar.  I was anticipating some kind of corrupting influence in Denerim (of the "demon" nature rather than the "Howe" nature!), so felt a little bit disappointed when it was revealed he was ultimately driven by his hatred of Orlais and the "legendary" Wardens rather than anything more magical/supernatural.

However, I felt his motives and character were nicely scripted and acted, and am looking forward to a playthrough when I spare him and get to find out a bit more from him personally! (the "defense of Loghain" thread was a good read too).

This.

Or have, like, Alistair turn on me at the end. (As in actively trying to kill me, not the possible options for him leaving the Wardens.) Or something.

Jade Empire made me suspicious of everyone.

I thought a leprechaun was going to jump from his corpse after I beheaded him.

But I'm just kind of crazy like that.

would love to see a Loghain after the events unfold either way and in Awakenings find out he is/was in cahoots with the Architect.

i was sure that Lohgain was on the darkspawn's side, possibly possessed or corrupted, mainly because of his super dark eye circles
