He doesn't have any tattoos, so I doubt it. Although, they could add tattoos to him later. Or he could be city-born, but went to the Dalish and was recruited into the Inquisitor's group before he could get tattooed. But as I said, it's doubtful.

Well the concept art for the Dalish Mage Inquisitor didn't have any tattoos either. I'd really like a Dalish companion to accompany my Dalish Inquisitor

You're welcome! I also feel that likes are somewhat impersonal, but they are quite effective. Hearts easily trump a thumbs-up, though. So take all the hearts!         Hearts for everyone!

That might be because they wanted to keep the Dalish background a secret, but who knows. I agree with you though, I would love to have another Dalish in the party, so let's keep out fingers crossed!

According to a slaver. He could just as easily killed her once he acquired fenris. Still, you have a point. It's strange thinking of elves enslaving other elves, but then, humans do that irl.

But she knows how the magisters work. If she thought he would have gone back on his word, she wouldn't have used that as her excuse. She could easily have said, "I have to or they'll kill me." Also, if you recall the alienage mission in DA:O, there was that Tevinter elf who was a slaver. She felt no kinship with other elves, and expressly stated that she was Tevinter first. So, they exist. They might be rare, but they exist.

Someone in this thread or in the other one about the bald Mage said that in Tevinter your status is more based on magical ability than your race. I assume as long as your not a slave and aren't part of the free slaves class, you have a chance to prove yourself.

There was an elven slaver in DAO. She didn't care one bit about the elves.
It should be noted that i the case of the hyphotethical magister, the survey stated that he wants to change things in the country.

His clothing suggests being human based, so I'm guessing no.

I think the feathered shoulder thing he wears in some concept art looks like Tevinter fashion (going by the WOT pictures).

A Magister a spirit healer? If the rumors are true that he is a former Magisters, and if a spirit healer then no wonder he got kicked out. Such an inkling imo should be enough to strip him of that title...Magister and spirit healer, preposterous.
