When people were hating on Morrigan and Cassandra because of aesthetics, I was thinking to myself that folks probably wouldn't make so much of a fuss over a male character's appearance. I see that worked out well.

It's all relative though so whatever

I have to say my characters are usually the smexiest ones too though

The most off-putting thing about his appearance for me has got to be the fact that he is completely hairless.

 

A bald Vivienne by contrast would be fantastic. But this guy being bald, complete with a total lack of facial hair due to being an elf, plus his long, drawn out face in the concept art makes him look very strange.  

 

Doesn't mean he can't be a great character, not at all. My worry is that this guy took up a spot in the companion roster that could have gone to the Grey Warden guy or the Iron Bull. Highly unlikely since they aren't mages, but you never know.

They are aesthetically pleasing but not sexually attractive.. if that makes sense? But that's only my opinion.

Oh ... Well...yeah sexual attractiveness is mostly a personal thing of course.

But aesthetically pleasing appearances are only one factor into "sexiness". Personality, attire, occupation, attitude, background etc.. all play a part. Honestly Alistair and Kaidan's attractiveness (to me) stemmed mostly from their voices and attitudes.

Do you like them to be more rugged? DA has had a lack of truly rugged human male LI and I disapprove.

I'd suggest waiting until, I don't know, we reveal a little more about his character before you decide you know everything about him and his place in the story. For all you know, he could eventually end up being your favorite character in Inquisition.

@ Gaider People are already enthralled with Viv because she has a funny hat. Perhaps this elf needs a funny hat too. Someone was even preparing themselves to complain if she wasn't a li... based entirely on her appearance.

Honestly, I don't mind his look. Sure he's not the most interesting character if you're going off his looks alone, though his personality could be interesting to counteract. I romanced Garrus in Mass Effect not because of how he looked, it was his personality and character that hooked me in.

I'd consider magey as a LI... Just as long as he doesn't turn into Anders V.2

I actually like this look. I prefer a strong visual look instead of something generic. Him being bald just adds to the charm.

My character would romance him, if he has an interesting story and personality going on of course. Being a former Magister sounds very interesting to me.

I think you should re do the charecters apperence by giving him muttonchops. That would change peoples opinions of calling him "boring".

I honestly didn't think so. It's just that people here are so anxious for new information, and any new information that isn't what they at looking for is quickly dismissed. Many people here want to know who the companions are and which of them will be LIs. Everyone revealed so far has been criticized and probed for LI "worthiness".

I agree that discussing anything beyond the superficial aspects revealed is premature.

That's a guy? He's quite androgynous.
