I get in the zone with my Shadow and then half way through a Shadow Strike I realize I've targeted a Ravager. I go all melee so I've only got 625 health and shields. At that point it's either ops pack, SS a Marauder or die.

whenever there's a puddle of ravager acid, i always throw my jacket down so that my teammates can cross.

 

edit: only drell are able to do this.

Ha, I've done that before.

 

At least I get the satisfaction of knowing SS will kill the Ravager as I die.

Maybe it's my imagination but it seems to help to go into hard cover when you have a DoT on you.

IIRC, hard cover reduces any DoT, be it Atlas rockets, Banshee warp, Ravager goo etc.

I don't think so. Two elements of it initial damage which is high and dot, I think DR helps with either of those. Only reason I can think of that a Drell can survive an Atlas missile with only losing a single bar of health at times. DR on the initial burst seems to be more important than DR on dot though.

Uhm... Yeah, DR definitely helps with dots too. But as far as I know, being in cover doesn't grant you DR, it just takes away the enemies' 40% bonus to damage... If that applies retroactively to the dot too, I wouldn't know... But it seems strange to me.

 

And the main reason why Drell can only lose a single bar of health is because they have almost double the health of a base human. Plus, the DR from reave/charge really helps here. I'm pretty sure I've avoided any loss of health whatsoever from being shieldgated by Atlas' missiles thanks to that, at times.
