I know, I know. It's not a huge surprise, but it is something to ponder.

Bioware: There Will Be More Mass Effect After the Trilogy Ends.

So, that makes me happy! How about you?

Pretty sure that's not even slightly surprising in the least.

They've already expanded beyond the trilogy. Dark Horse comic, 2 novels, and the Iphone Galaxies game.

Sounds awesome. As long as they don't just use it for quick money but that's not really Biowares style.

I feel indifferent to it as Galaxy, the novels or any of that stuff doesn't interest me, even though it's canon.

Meh.

Well, since Bioware was talking about being involved, i assumed they meant more to the anouncement than just more in the non-gaming media. It seemed to me like they plan on making more games set in the ME universe after ME3 is over and done with.

Whether this means more iphone games like Galaxies or more triple-A titles, i do not know. I know some people would like to see an MMO, so maybe they've got a bit more to hope for.

Probbably going to have a different title and be more of a "spiritual successor" story told from the prespective of a different character.

Really doubt Bioware is planning on any MMO's other than TOR, ever.  If TOR succeeds (which I really hope it does) there's no reason to make any more MMO's, just focus on expanding and improving your current MMO.  If TOR utterly fails, then it's unlikely you'll get another shot at an MMO after so much money went to waste.

Hmm, probably a new MMO based on ME universe.

As long as the games continue to be story-driven single player games and a PC version will be available, I'd be more than happy to buy them.

Not surprised, its too rich of a universe to be left alone....

Heres hoping we get to choose our race in the future:alien:

That is my hope as well. One of them, at least.

As for the MMO bit, it is unlikely that they would abandon TOR were it a success. Also, they probably wouldn't return to MMOG's for a while if it were not.

Me, I just want some good old single-player, anyway.
