What's in a name? What do you want? (Forumite? TBF? Bio___? BWF? Etc)

Hey guys,

I was in a thread and a player pointed out there isn't an endearing name to replace "BSN'ers" or anything of the sort. So I thought I'd go ahead and start a topic to see if anyone was interested in discussing a moniker to call one another. Good for me to have a moniker for you guys too when I'm singing your praises (which I have done quite a bit in the past week or so). Plus I like solidarity. Of course, I'm sure you will all organically come up with things as time progresses etc. Or not!

But the thread is here anyway if you want to use it :) It's midnight and I don't want to answer my emails. This sounds more fun.

Cheers,
Jess

I have caught myself referring to it as the BWF from time to time <.<

It didn't win! I just had to say something and it's a cute name and I'm trying out different things to see what sticks ;)

We'll keep working on it. Like I said, it'll be organic. Next time, I'll try BFFs. Internally, we've been saying BWFers - which frankly I think sounds like a sports team lol. I may be biased and dorky, but I tend to like nick names that sound like clever monikers like "Mouseketeer".

We have a rowing team (it's a kind of specific kind called dragon boating) that BioWare employees participate in and the team name is called the "BioWarriors". So I'm fond of things like that.

So I promise, it didn't win!!!! PROMISE :D

UGH the Keepers were my favorite alien race in the whole Mass Effect universe. Sometimes I just go into the writers pit and ask them if they'll make a Hatoful Boyfriend with Keepers. They tell me to shoo and keep a broom by the door in case I wander back in.

Would I be spamming and thus violating my own site rules to cross post this thread in other forum sections, I wonder? I should be able to justify posting in off-topic but other areas... Hmm.

To me and many others it always has been and always will be the BSN. But people can call it whatever they want. There is no need for a thread like this which implies that everyone should have one specific name and that we all must stick to it. Nothing should 'win'. Me and many of the original BSN users will keep calling it the BSN while newbies to this new forum can come and call it whatever they like. But no one should be able to decide what Bioware fans are known as here. Not even a forum mod or BioWare staff.

Well that's why I said the following in my original post:

I was in a thread and a player pointed out there isn't an endearing name to replace "BSN'ers" or anything of the sort. So I thought I'd go ahead and start a topic to see if anyone was interested in discussing a moniker to call one another.... And I think that anyone can decide what people on here are known as, and the thread is here in case people want to use it so that the conversation isn't happening in a million different places (which I'm sure it is anyway). Like I said, it's organic and if you don't want to participate, you don't have to but other people who were using the BioBoards, BSN, and now the Forum might disagree with you and that's ok too.
