So, I still enjoy the ME3 multiplayer.  I used to consistently pug with Silver, and played group games on Gold.  Had a lot of fun.  Not anymore though.

Last four, five months?  I'd regularly get to Wave 10, be ready for the pullout then - guns stop working, enemies start walking in place, allies running at walls.  Your game has lost connection, every. Damn. Time. Right as the pullout countdown begins.  I checked my connection, did a clean reinstall.  Nada.  I got so sick of losing gear due to dropout that I stopped playing anything above Bronze, and eventually stopped altogether.

This been happening to anyone else?

I live in Australia, so random dropouts happen.  Fact of life.  But every game?  And always in the last wave?  If I didn't know better, guys, I'd say you didn't want me here.

I have to say, it's a damn shame as I really liked the multi.  Good way to cool off after work, not too many wankers trying too hard.  But if I can't even finish my damn matches, what's the point?

I've had a couple of 2-day to 1-week stints like that but nothing as consistent as you're describing.

I didn't get any problem of the sort and I have been playing recently. Maybe some weird issues with the sound, also the banners that won't display in my lobby.
Lobbies are also getting longer to fill, a lot more noobs playing gold, other than that, still as fun as ever.

Sometimes I get some lost connection type of issues, but its rare (at least in the PC world).  The PC player base is still there - but there are a lot of new people and it seems from diverse locales.

As Mimitochan said, there are some new players out there who seem to think that gold is ez with a predator 1 and an avenger 3 with stability mod.  They are learning the ropes, so it can get a bit iffy at times.

I play every day, and have no issues finding lobbies.

Usually when it happens, it happens exactly like you described. I dunno if you played yesterday by any chance but Origin was like a steady digital signal with 1 second frequency. On, off, on, off, tick, tack..

Mm, I live in Australia too. Very rarely get disconnects even with my somewhat garbage connection.

I have this consistent and weird effect where on first starting the game, at the 20 minute mark if I'm in match and I'm not soloing then I always get disconnected. Subsequent games are fine. I work around it by doing a quick bronze solo or jump into a bronze pug match usually with a grenade based character. Say that takes 15 minutes, then I wait at least for 5 minutes before starting my next match. Then I play "normally" like everyone else.

Don't think it's the same as you, I'm in the UK and on PS3, but want happens if you try to do a bronze solo?

I've had a few bad stretches in the last few weeks which we all attribute to lack of server maintenance, but what you're describing? Nope.

All I can say is try to endure it. There are a lot of people still playing this game and enjoying it, so no reason you shouldn't be able to also if that's what you want.

I've had a similar situation around a month ago, where nearly every game had the same major lag in later waves when playing off-host (same as you describe: enemies started walking in place, allies running at walls,...).

I started playing only on-host for a few days. The lag was gone after 3 or 4 days.

Well today I've run into 2 "infinite" loading screens, 1 disconnect, 1 gold wipe (I blame the newbies offcourse), 1 majorly laggy game and 2-3 acceptable but still laggy games and 1 just kicked (for arbitrary reasons or if it was the guys I just played with again for outscoring them o.O).

But regarding technical difficulties... Hmm it varies in oddways.

Hmmm.  While I admit I haven't tried timing it, I do get disconnected two or three matches in a row (before I get frustrated and quit) so I don't think it's the same problem.  I'll give your method a go, though, and see if it makes a difference.

I had this problem 2 days ago. And the haunted glitch. In every 20 games there is 1 glitched.

Someone else mentions being the host--might help if the dropout is due to lag. Extraction wave may require more bandwidth maybe?

I'm Aussie too and on PS3 and 360, 360 has got a lot worse for me lately and PS3 is consistently bad but I'm not as bad as you. Try different times or the day/evening. I find afternoons are my best times with the fewest problems. I don't solo anymore unless the ethernet is connected which does help. The ethernet connection should reduce the frequency of disconnects but won't improve your connection to others, hence lag will still make you cry.

Find a friend with a crash hot connection and try to play with them. Also are you PuGing or hosting?

PuGing.  Not a lot of friends online when I am, and if I try to host a PuG I usually end up sitting in a lobby for half an hour, and I'm impatient.  Plus I feel bad inflicting my crappy connection on other people.

I play for fun, not for e-peen.

Try checking your router, it is possible (at least this happened for me) that people would join my lobby much quicker by opening ports and I had better all round connection to the game for a while. You're on PC correct?

Try looking up the make and model of your router and opening ports. Also I don't know if this applies to you but if you're working off wireless get EVERYONE in the house to turn off their internet devices, I did and it actually helped a surprising amount.

My current connection is terribad and I have had the late waves disconnect but not so consistently as you. Pick lower res maps maybe and earlier characters, anything that reduces stress on the entire system though that definitely would help in the fun department.

OP what platform?  If you're on PS3, there are several controllable factors that contribute to memory leak that can cause crashing and disconnects by the end of a match, but not generally a problem on silver though.

Preliminary results:  Last night I tried doing a bronze solo first, and afterwards got through two PuG matches, off-host, with no disconnect. Thumbs up, FireRider!

Although I have no idea why this worked, as I'm on PC.  But I shan't look a gift horse in the mouth.  Hopefully the effect is consistent and not the result of a full moon or planetary alignment.  I'll have to keep track over the next week or so to be sure.

You are right to test it over time as it may merely be a co-incidence. I hope it isn't and you have a reproducible workaround for the problem.
