We were able to play as a Darkspawn in Origin and so I'm hoping that we can play as a demon of our choice in DA: Inquisition in the expansion version, not DLC. I want the experience to be as long as the mainquest in DA:I. I would like to experience first hand at what goes on in a demons life and get to know them a bit more by playing as one.
I think the main quest for Demon chronicles should be is to stop the Inquisition from sealing up the veil at all cost.

I'd take it as a DLC - that I wouldn't buy. Maybe it's other peoples' cup of tea; never was mine. Darkspawn Chronicles was one of the few Origins DLC I skipped, along with Feastday Gifts/Pranks.
But no, I'd rather it not be the focus of the expansion ... you being a demon, with a party of demons? Nah. First off, if one was a sloth demon, you'd all just sit and lie there and not go anywhere.
You might have just meant this as a joke at the expense of Darkspawn Chronicles, in which case I applaud you.
You might convince me to have a sentient darkspawn companion at one point. But playing the non-sentient ones? Nah. As much interesting as being able to control a bunch of zombie kittens. Not my thing.

As a full fledged expansion, no.
As fun little DLC sure.
I never bought Darkspawn Chronicles either. I think that theme is a bit too specific for a expansion.
Besides; a expansion is supposed to expand the standard game itself, not reverse it.
