Well, if two of our love interests are Cassandra and Vivienne I am going to hope that someone releases a mod to make them look a bit more palatable.

Different strokes, different folks.  This is where being able to mod comes in really handy.  Everyone seemed to love Zevran but he did absolutely nothing for me.  One small mod later and I was a happy little camper.

And this is why I think it's critical that there is more than one option for each sexuality.  This way no one feels completely disappointed by their options.  Even if you don't like both Cass and Viv, after playing, you will probably find one that you like better.  However, I also really didn't like Zev, but got stuck with choosing between him and blank space.

I'm okay with this (though I prefer the character treat the PC the same, regardless of gender), but I don't know about that example; I know some men who would love and do love receiving flowers from their significant others. Let's try not to gender things like that. Wouldn't most of us female persons here on the BSN be just as overjoyed to receive an xbox/PS/PC game for V-day than a simple box of chocolates or flowers? It's about knowing your partner's personality, not just relying on gender tropes.

 

Let the gender differences be based on real, substantive stuff, like Merrill bringing up children with M!Hawke but not with F!Hawke. And by children, she meant biological children, and the reason she brought it up is because she wanted M!Hawke to know that her clan would not accept their children. That is a very meaningful conversation to have with a partner, and one that wouldn't make sense with F!Hawke, since she and Merrill cannot biologically produce children.

 

You're right, i didn't mean to sound so stereotypical. It was just the first thing i thought, without really thinking.

As to his competitors, DAMN!  If I had to pick just two, I'd go with Solas and Beardy, and then have a bro-tastic love affair with Varric.  Hmm, apparently I'm pretty into the extremes when it comes to how much hair a man has

This Picture kinda makes me want the bearded Warden as LI everytime I see it... but there are so many other Options! I wanted Varric since DA2, but Iron Bull has those huge muscles and a very sexy back.

Solas on the other Hand Looks very unique and I like his baldness... and somehow he reminds me just a little bit of Sand from NWN2 and that guy as Li would have been awesome.

My guess is:  Cassandra and Sera for the ladies and Solas and Cullen (yeah, I know he's not confirmed yet) for the gents.

Your guess makes a lot of sense to me because it gives a pretty decent range of characters.  Diversity in both the personality and appearance of our LIs is more important to me than finding all of them "traditionally" attractive.

I absolutely want Vivienne as LI, so my guess for now is this:

Female: Vivienne, Sera + Scribe Girl as non-party-LI
Male: Varric, Solas + Cullen as non-party-LI

Though I'd really like all of them to be romanceable... if I had to pick the two MLI I'd like the most, that would probably be Varric and Iron Bull, but I guess I need to be realistic here: There will be at least one human MLI and they can't exclude the elflovers either.
I don't think Cullen will be a Party member and if he's not a love interest either that would make room for the bearded warden guy however... and I have to admit I really like that possibility as well.

I'd put my money on Sera as li as Vivienne/Cassandra seem similar in terms of maturity. I'd lean towards cass for the 2nd but that may be my bias as I prefer her character from info available.
