So many interesting suppositions.  I feel like I have too much power knowing those who will be happy, and those who will feed writer tears (lol who am I kidding... I'm sure tears will be made by all... just for different reasons! :whistle:)

 

Either tears of joy or tears of sorrow.

 

But there will be tears. Copious amounts, to be sure.

 Let me rephrase, if there's NPC romances that take away from companion romances, it'll bug me because I hated it in ME as well.

I'm not opposed to romancing NPC as long as they're good written and have fair amount of romance as the companions.

According to the latest Xbox article the Developers have said that the romances in Inquisition will be "tasteful" and less contingent on the "kindness coins" systems of approval in the previous games. 

 

I'm not sure exactly what this means, but I'm assuming it means that the romance paths are not as tied to a friendship meter as they have been. Perhaps it is only really drastic decisions that they disagree with that end the romance, or that particular decisions need to have been made to even start a romance in the first place.

Personally i'm not a particular fan of NPC romances as the travelling together has always been pretty much much a core part of fleshing out the romances into something real for me.

Personally i'm hoping for 3 romances. Solus, Iron Bull and a Human male companion. Though i'm sure I'll be happy with whatever they choose. Finger crossed though for Iron Bull.

I hope the return to something closer to DAO style. DA2 was... forgettable. Only bothered twice and one of the times I fully didn't care. In DAO it was really fun. With mods, even better. Truly got to roleplay it.

Aww, I hope that isn't true, or they changed their minds! 

I'd like a return to the way DA2 did it... or something similar. I like giving my LIs pretty shinies.

But not torn trousers and Found Cake like some of the Origins gifts.
