I'm down for any of the ladies (Cassandra, Vivienne, or Blonde Elf Girl). They all look beautiful and all sound interesting.
By the way, do we know if B.E.G. is actually named Sera?

Bioware seems to be doing everything bigger for this game. I'm thinking 6 romances out of 9 companions (proportionally the same compared with DA2's 4 romances out of 6 primary companions), with two human and one non-human love interest per gender.
Cass, Viv and Sera are our best guesses right now, though Scribe Girl could potentially be a romance if she turns out to be a follower. I believe Sylvia Feketekuty made a tweet a loooong time ago about wondering what guys want in a romance, so perhaps her character will be one? I could see Vivienne being independent enough that she wouldn't be interested in love, but then Mary Kirby wouldn't have a romance written for the game which doesn't seem likely. Gaider is apparently writing two romances, so that seems to confirm Cass as a lock (awesome, she's great).
As for male romances, honestly, who knows? Grey Warden is only male human confirmed so far, and he seems like he'd be an interesting one. I'd love it if Iron Bull were romanceable, but I think that's less likely than Solus (we've had male elf romances in every game). Mr. Moustache is really the only other male human option that I see as plausibly being a companion, and thus a romance. Honestly, I really just want to know who Gaider's second companion is, hahahaha!
Of course, this is all just wishful thinking for the most part.
The companions I really want romance options for are Cass, Sera and Iron Bull. <333
I am hesitantly hoping for Cassandra, Solas and the blond elf for the romance options, out of the companions we have so far. While both Cassandra and Vivienne seem like possible options, I don't think they'd both be romances since they have enough in common that it would mean little variety. I am interested in them both and would like either of them as romance options, but if I had to choose between the two I'd pick Cassandra. She would be a fairly new and interesting romance options out of all the ones we had so far. The blond elf, considering what we saw of her personality in the Tavern concept art, would make sense as the other female romance option and would balance out both Cassandra and Vivienne.

We know that there's an elf archer companion and that she is named Sera, but we don't know if she's the blond elf girl.
Don't think Iron Bull or Feathers are romanceable. Cole, although at this point not confirmed as a companion, wouldn't be an option (for obvious reasons, but DG also somewhat confirmed this). Varric? Probably still won't be wooable because of the whole Bianca-thing (unless some story-related event changes things).
So who is left for the straight women out there? Solas and another currently unconfirmed follower... Dorian if he didn't get scrapped? That would mean no romanceable Warriors or Rogues to choose from though (unless Dorian is dual classed). Partly because of that, I think there could be optional NPC/Yeoman romances in the game - maybe Cullen and Scribe Lady, who will both be performing certain tasks back at the Keep (mentioned Scribe Lady because I'm not sure Vivienne will be a love interest)?
I'm happy for it being a surprise then I can go omg realy when I play the game
I feel like this is obligatory now:
In my head, they've got that running on a loop, projected on all the walls in the writers' room whenever anything involving Solas is being written.
Lol
"Killing me won't bring back your goddamn honey!"

I'm thinking that Cass is probably romancable, but Varric is not, just to troll us all, we'll probably get at least one elf as option and I'll be surprised if the Iron bull is an option. Morrigan is out of the question as she may be the warden's girl.
I hope that we'll get romance options that are not party members, like Cortez in ME3.
What if NPC's get enough romance content though? More than Sam/Steve got in ME?
I'm not opposed to romancing NPC as long as they're good written and have fair amount of romance as the companions.
I can see that working if it's a character you had a reason to interact with between quests, a shop keeper or a quest giver for example. Obviously you need an option to avoid that too if you're not interested in romancing them and just looking to unload some loot.
NPC romances would be an interesting take, I always enjoyed those written for BG2 by modders. No idea about companion romances, just waiting to see what happens. I'm kicking myself for saying it, but I hope Varric isn't a LI....don't know why, but it just wouldn't feel right IMO.
I really really want Iron Bull to be an option. Bioware doesn't seem to like manly-man romances. Other than that I would like Varric, but I severely doubt both my top pick are likely. For girls I'd like Viv and Cass. At least one of them has to be romance-able.

How about his right hand?
To hold a sword, get your dirty mind out of a gutter.

We do. Luke mentioned her back in the day when he said that he'd be writing her.

The idea of ending with npcs is something I find interesting. I liked that you could marry Anora if the right stuff happened.

What? I'm not sure I follow.

I liked to head canon that even though she made it clear this was an arranged marriage of convenience to the Male Human Noble Warden, and that she was Queen whereas he was "merely" Prince-Consort, that he managed to warm her heart, and it eventually became a love-match for real, and that she began to view the relationship more equally.
After all, in one's head canon, endings can be made even happier. ![]()

There, I "liked" it for you.
And also because I genuinely liked it, too. ![]()

Bioware, I make a promise. If you Make Cullen in the game but he is newly married due to being married in between games thus trolling the fan base. I will buy all DLC without question for the lols I would get here. Well worth the money.
Well....in DAO, out of the six companions (Dog and Shale not included along with Loghain), four were romancable (Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan and, Zevran) while in DAII, only four were romancable out of six (not including the Hawke Siblings and Sebastian). Same number of "main" companions with an equal balance of males and females.
So...we can be somewhat certain that out of the nine, four will be romancable. Two males and two females.
That being said, they could bump it up to six so that way it would be three males and three females. But I think that's pushing it. I have a feeling that Solas and Sera will be romancable but I have no clue on Vivienne. There is no way Cassandra is romancable. She will probably be like Aveline. Same goes for Varric.

While we can't be certain yet, I wouldn't be so sure. David Gaider has reportedly written two characters for DAI, and two of the romances. One or the characters he wrote is Cassandra. Simple mathematics suggests that Cassandra is therefore one of the female romance options.

The power of mathematics!!! behold its benevolence!!

If Cassandra is a romance option then I'll eat an entire pound of hot wings. With no milk.
