Why on earth do people not learn how to differentiate entertainment and real life will forever boggle me. This is something you should've learned as a child FFS.

 

As for platonic content I'm all for more friendship routes. If the romances get to be so much there's no content outside romancing someone I'd rather lose the romance content and have more friendship content. DA team thankfully has hit a good balance. ME team has times of placing too much content on the romance side of things.

How did people feel about the platonic content idea?

I like it for any future IPs.  I wouldn't want to take romances out of Mass Effect or Dragon Age for it.  Still, as an alternative for other games, that would work just fine by me.  More companion dialogue and NPC interaction?  Sure, I'll take it.

 

I do enjoy my romances in DA, but I wouldn't ask BioWare to put them in every single game. I'd be fine with a new IP that didn't contain romances.  Just don't take it out of the ME and DA series and I'm happy.  

 

 

Not everything has to come from Japan, you know.

 

Also, differents sexualities are a thing, the end.

And not everyone grew up on anime or was even in their 20s when anime got really popular.

I actually don't mind having more fleshed out platonic relationships. Now, I know it's just an example...but say their next IP has a set up similar to the Jedi. Now, by and large, Jedi aren't supposed to be in romances. So, having romantic content doesn't make sense (unless you're breaking rules). So, I wouldn't be opposed to just having very strong, platonic relationships in a game like that.

You mean, platonic content in place of romance? I'd be disappointed, because I like the romantic aspect of the relationships. That said, I think I'd explore a platonic content more than a romantic one. Generally, I find a LI I like and then I stick with that character. A best friend, however, feels less... permanent? I don't know if I'm explaining this right. I'd feel less attached to a BFF than I would a LI, and thus wouldn't feel the need to constantly redo their... Friendship Arc.

It really depends on how well the friendship is done. If it's like Varric in DA2...eh. But if it's closer to Morrigan and Zev's friendship routes in DAO that'd be excellent.

I never said that, I m just saying that only (or mainly) girls here are asking for bi romances for all characters, and i find it annoying that's all. And that's my right just like you have your right to ask for this.

 

I don't want to see all the characters in DAI to be bi. Some maybe but not all of them.

 

And just to clarify the main target for yuri mangas are females even if some guys are reading it... just saying.

I commented extensively on the "platonic content idea" before, but again, I really enjoy the romances, so I'd be disappointed. It would take a lot to convince me to pick up the game without them. I'm not certain whether I'd still play it. I'd need more information first.

If it's platonic in place of romance, I'd be pretty disappointed, tbh. I don't feel the need to redo friendships as much as I do romances, and I tend to get more attached to characters my protagonist romances as opposed to ones they're strictly friends with.

If it's just more fleshed out friendships, but romances stay, I'm for it. I do think the friendships need more fleshing out, because they seem a bit... lacking in some cases.

 

I'll miss my virtual husbandos and waifus too much if they get rid of them tbh

There are a lot of guys on this forum that want same sex relationships, if you looked through the threads. I'm also one of them. 

 

I'm not sure why you keep quoting Japanese comic books as proof of anything. It's a bit absurd. Bioware isn't even a Japanese company.

Then next time, don't have everything come from one nation when saying how you don't like a 'trend' you think it specifically caused. 

 

Do you have proof that only or mainly women are asking for this? There's plenty of men asking for it too on here. 

Just ignore them.  This is the same person that claimed that "the devs are ignoring the thread," not paying attention to the fact that Allen was in here earlier today posting.  I just reported their whole profile since I keep reporting their posts and I'm done with it.

FWIW, I think that the companions are going to be "Quizzy sexual", but I seriously doubt that they'll have the NPC make the first move after the Anders uproar.

True, but all LIs being pansexual is a very strong possibility.

I think he said he'd like to have a variety of sexualities, but it's more cost effective to just have all the LI be pansexual.
