How do you feel about companions who make the first move?

I don't mind, and I thought it suited Anders and Isabela well.  However, it caused such a sh*t storm that I don't think it'll happen again.

Considering I prefer it this was irl, I'd love if they did. I think that's another reason I liked Anders so much.

Can you think of one that felt "normal" that you liked? I actually thought Alistair's romance was absolutely fantastic, minus the complications of the end that is.  I've heard fantastic things about the Ser Gilmore romance... have yet to try that one out.

I actually think Leliana's was as close to 'normal' as you can find. Alistair's was great, if you did the DR and hardened him and made him king, and were a human noble.

You could always avoid it by pimping him out to Morrigan but that has it's own issues XD

I don't think Vivienne will even be a romance.

You know, I was kinda thinking the same thing.  She strikes me as the type that has standards so high, the Inquisitor might not even be an option.  

 

My theories, if they stick with 4 romances:

 

Cullen and Solas

Sera and Cassandra

 

If they go with 6:

 

Cullen, Solas and the Warden.

Sera, Cassandra, unannounced female.

 

I know I could be so far off the mark that the devs are laughing at this.  Just my idea for now.

I personally am okay with companions making the first move.  In fact, it can be kind of hot.

 

However, after having my gay Shepard fend off flirts from about over a half dozen ladies in the ME series, I'm kind of tired of it.  Plus, the dudebros' heads will explode if another male makes a move on their PC, so I think in general, it's better to make the player make the first move.

 

OT:  Wow, am I glad that I missed that debacle that just went down.  Nice job on troll brigade, all.

Yeah I gotta say I LOVED that about Anders. I thought Zevran was pretty forthcoming as well, and it was fantastic.

 

It's such a shame it caused such a negative stir. I'm sure it was only a tiny minority that hated it, but looks like they were the most outspoken. And those same people probably didn't care that Isabella was just as forthcoming.

How do you feel about companions who make the first move?

 

I wouldn't mind if a few LI made the first move, but only if turning them down is is easy. Perhaps if the LI makes a possibly-flirty statement you can follow up with a Heart-Icon'd phrase, and that would mean you accept the flirt. Otherwise, you ignore it, they ignore it, and they never bring it up again, but you can instigate it later.

My Mom has had cancer for a very, very long time. I cannot fathom what it's been like, only from an outsiders pov can I understand. I'm so happy for you that you beat it. I hope it forever stays away.

I actually like it when the other one makes the first move. Just seems like they're more invested and less like you are leading them into the romance.

But after what happened with Anders I can see why they wouldn't do that again.

I only did the US once and on my mage, I had no qualms being his mistress.  Overall, I'm with Mes: I thought for the most part his relationship was well done, and didn't have some of the problems that romancing either of the men in DA2 had.

 

Edit: I find Zevran's advances and the way he hits on the Warden to be much more creepy than Anders flirting with me right after Tranquility.  I'll admit that there is entire game sessions where I don't talk to Zevran due to this.  I give him gifts to max out the companion Dex bonus and leave it at that.
