Well, Cassandra is anywhere from 35-40 in age, so I don't see Vivienne being much older than that.
35-40 ??? No more like 28 something like that. Leliana is her boss and she's like 28-30 at the end of DA2. I doubt Cassandra would have a younger boss. Vivienne must be 40-45. And Vynne was probably around 50-60
I m just talking from the Malequistor POV, but you can see it, you could clearly see that Leliana was interested by other females because of Marjolaine even if you played a male warden and that Morrigan was straight too.
As for Isabella well if you have played DAO you know she isn't straight.
Leli was talking about her past lover who appens to be a woman, she doesn't really talk about her sexuality...I don't think it will be the case for Cass, she doesn't struck me as the type who would go out of her way for romance.
(As for Isabella...come on Isabella and Cassandra have VERY differents personalities)
Ehhh, I'm sticking with early 40s, especially considering he's a Warden.
I don't think age really plays that much of a factor if they're still fit and very capable, and he could've been Warden for a very decent time before we met him

But you wouldn't know that Morrigan is straight if you only play as a male Warden because she never says, "I am only interested in males". The same way that you would never know that Merrill is bisexual if you only play as a male Hawke because she never says, "I am also interested in females."
For Merril I agree with you, but for Morrigan no, even is she nevers says this you can clearly see that she isn't that type of woman when you re talking with her and when you know about his past, she was always alone with Flemeth and she doesn't know what is love. So what should you assume she's bi ? Well maybe not for you but for me it was clear.
Plus, since it looks like most of the companions are going to be in their 30s-40s, we probably won't get a lot of younger options. Not that you'll hear me complain; I'm looking forward to journeying with and romancing someone closer to my RL age.
Its going to be interesting to see how the general fanbase reacts to having a generally older roster of characters. Sera seems to be the youngest companion by quite a bit actually.

The taint can affect your aging from what I remember, depending. If he's been Warden for a very long time, before we meet him, then all the more proving my point.

Nope. Cassandra was an adult in Dawn of the Seeker, which took place in 9:22. She was interrogating Varric in 9:40, 18 years later. Doesn't DA: I take place 2 or 3 years after DA 2? She's got to be at least 35 and more likely closer to 40.

She was a mid to late teenager in Dawn of the Seeker, and that was 18 years before Inquisition.
We really don't know how old she was in dawn of the seeker though.
But we know that she was a Seeker at the time and that it was 18 years earlier than the DA 2 epilogue. Have we ever seen a Seeker who wasn't an adult? I'm not saying a specific age, just a general age. She had to be at least in her mid-teens, right? So that puts her at around 35 in DA: I at the youngest, right? Is my math wrong?
I actually like romancing someone close to my own age. I'm not that into substantially older. I'm almost 21, for comparison. I like 20-25 year old LIs.

She was at least in her late teens. Putting the timeline together, she's approximately 35-37 years old as of Inquisition. Nicely adult for me.

But, fortunately for me, the average age of a gamer is now in their 30's, so it's nice to see some of the games attending to an older demographic. There already are dozens of RPGs out there with teen and early twenties protagonists and characters, right? Another reason why I like Bioware.
I stand corrected. You can say, in English "she has the air of ... " but I was taught ressembler/semmbler. Thanks for providing me with the idiom.
Now, back to the ignorance. There is no such thing as "the air of" a lesbian. There is no such thing as "seems like" a lesbian. I've admitted my mistake, but I'll bet you won't admit yours.

Who's available for a LI?
Why some folks want a romance that seems less like trying to "fix" someone. Okay, that's more of a statement but you get the point.
Let's focus on that instead of the derailing the person you are quoting is trying to cause.

Here here! They don't make me feel like some granny just because I'm over 30. I don't mind those games that have younger protagonists. I'd hope not, since I play a fair amount of "Tales" and Final Fantasy games. However, it is nice that one of my favorite companies has companions that seem to be an average age of about 35. Sera is definitely going to be the youngest, from what I can tell.
Oh and I also love that the Inquisitor's age ranges from 19-about 35 years old. So I can roll up someone closer to my own age and not get called a kid all the time.
Didn't one of the Dev's (Laidlaw?) say that the Inquisitor was older this time around? Like, 30's? So it would make sense for the companions (and thus LI's) to be around that age.

Yeah I'm really excited about this upcoming age group. Though I'm sure there'll still be some younger companions (like Sera possibly?) to please others. One thing I enjoyed about Mass Effect was that everyone was sort of in their late 20's/early 30's. I myself am 27 so it works for me. 
Though I gotta say that I didn't realize Alistair was supposed to be super young (like 20??) until someone pointed it out to me. I just always assumed he was 30 or so! I like that about Bioware characters... that you can basically project whatever age you want onto a character, unless they specifically say how old they are. (Except for Wynne. Wynne is old.
