Romance can be part of character development and agency.

 

This is my problem though, since it feels like that is the only way they like to develop a character, who falls back to that "usual" path of if you follow "x" romance, you get the most out their development.  Which to be fair, can work for certain characters, but at the same time, I feel like a character/companion should have a certain type of development that works with or without a romance.  

 

Also, I wouldn't mind Bioware trying out a few scenarios as to where - for example, if the PC decides to romance "x", then that relationship could actually get worse for whatever reason, in relation to the story or personalities clashing, etc.

It always felt bound to happen that both Cullen and Cassandra would be romances. Good for both fanbases though to get some goodies

Don't know yet. Was only confirmed as LI, not to what extent his role in the game will be.

It's so unlike BioWare to reveal someone is a LI, before actually showing that the character is in the game. It's strange.

Yeah, I find that odd as well. Maybe something will be clarified when the video recordings BioWare is doing of the panel get put up? Right now, we can only go by Tweets of people attending the convention and all they said was the two LIs revealed. *shrugs*

well i guess i can't be surprised, cullen was the only generic short haired attractive white dude they had left. eh maybe theyll do something interesting with his romance but i probably won't get near it. but hey cass was confirmed too so its not a total loss!!

I really hope Solas is an LI...come on BioWare just tell us who all are an LI instead of just 2...or is this just a rumor going around. If it's true that Cassandra and Cullen are LI's that's great but there are other people who would like to know who else is LI like...Vivienne,Solas Mustache guy, IB,Sera? Hint Hint

Got the one I wanted (Cassandra) so now I'm just keeping an eye on future LI announcements for curiosity's sake... 

 

I am interested to see who the other two are though. My guess would be Sera and Iron Bull.
