I'm wondering, if IB is an LI, if he will be restricted to Qunari PCs only.

 

I prefer to think not, if only because it means that there is a BioWare dev out there being made to write a Qunari x Dwarf romance.

Imo I think the NPC romances in ME had less content because ME had a large number of romances to work on compared to this

This is why ME is a terrible example to look at when it comes to number and content to an extent

 

 

I'm going to agree with Ares here, ME was poor in romances overall, it's not just the number of romances.

But NCPs can be very interesting too if they get enough content and, most importantly, tied to the story so it won't feel like they're in game 'just' for the romance.

Straight: Solas

Gay: Gay Warden

Bisexual: Cullen

Female

Straight: Cassandra

I want an older LI like the grey warden. Based on his concept art, he seems like a wounded soul. I would love to see how his story pan out. I'm not a fan of Tevinter mage.

Grey Warden looks like he's probably right at his calling to me, so he doesn't make much sense to me as an LI. I think he'll be like Wynne, the "borrowed time, older, wiser" type character. I think the companion LI slots will go to DHMG and Solas. Obviously just my guess, though.

Yeah, if Grey Warden is near his calling, I don't want him romancable because I still get nightmares about Thane's treatment in Mass Effect 3.

Because of his age? We don't know when he first becomes a warden. Oghren looks pretty old when he first admitted into wardenhood. He could just become a warden recently. I kinda want to have a straight elf this time around since only humans had been straight. I don't get the impression of DHMG being a LI at all.

Yeah, if Grey Warden is near his calling, I don't want him romancable because I still get nightmares about Thane's treatment in Mass Effect 3.

The thing is we don't know when he first becomes a warden, and the game is not continuous, so after the game is over, he may not be mentioned again or reference somewhat. They may let it up to the player's imagination about what happen to them afterward.

He had 30 years after the joining, right? If he joined 5-10 years ago then he would have plenty of time to rise in rank and it would qualify him as a veteran. We don't know his background or how his story changed after his conception, but I hope he's not another Duncan.

Well, 30 years is the VERY maximum. The lore says they rarely live past middle age. Some only take 5-10 years.

Pretty sure it's because most of them died fighting the darkspawn.

David Gaider actually said 30 years was a high estimate that he regretted putting out there, though;

30 years would be the maximum. Still, we don't exactly know when he becomes a grey warden. Just because he looks old doesn't mean that he's high ranked or otherwise. Still, I just hope it's him. I'm not a fan of tevinter mages in general.

I was starting to think so when someone said they heard him called a companion at PAX, but in the end it went unconfirmed unconfirmed confirmed uncomfirmed.
