I think you're reading a lot into it, Amirit, especially since it seems to me that DG sounds a little annoyed that 'the bald elf' is being considered as anything but a bedwarmer. All he really tells us is the old axiom about judging a book. ![]()
And as for a Bishop like love interest, I'll pass. Bishop always struck me as being one note. He was evil because he was, and my opinion is that doesn't really have a place in the Dragon Age universe. YMMV, of course.

Considering that hordes of fans got wet as October for the lizardman otherwise known as Garrus, I think Baldy McElf will be fine so long as he is charismatic and ticks certain boxes.

So long as there is a romanceable qunari chick.
Why are you looking at me like that?
Because I want a romanceable qunair dude. Seriously, have you seen the muscles on those guys? Hopefully the ever-cunning writers won't indulge us both and give us a romanceable qunari transvestite. Though that really would be worth paying to see.
The only things that have been revealed thus far are:
How the romance proceeds will be more content based (what you do in the main game can affect your relationship with your LI) than gated by overall affection, though you can't romance someone you have a negative affection with
Uck. I don't mind big choices making a difference, but little things shouldn't make my LI lose affection for me. I find it frustrating to have to decide between being true to myself in the little situations or kissing Mr. Right's butt to keep from losing points. Little disagreements may irritate you and your significant other, but you don't stop liking them because they like real mayo instead of Miracle Whip. I really wish they'd change this. Base affection on content talks and major decisions. Leave little decisions out of it.
And weighing in on the whole looks thing...personality is first. That said, it's nice to have someone easy on the eyes. Garrus' personality was amazing but I had trouble romancing him because it looked like Shep was kissing a skeleton. I'd prefer the whole package. And in all fairness, they always make the women companions incredibly hot (though beauty is in the eye of the beholder). How many Bioware romanceable women were unattractive? Leliana...nope. Morgan? Isabella? Liara? Tali? All beautiful. I'd like my elf with hair, please.

If your LI doesn't like it when you skin Fennec foxes for a fur coat, maybe they don't belong with you anyway.

I don't like hunting for sport, but I wouldn't break-up with someone because they enjoyed it. I just wouldn't go with them.

You can't expect your LI candidates to be equally tolerant. Maybe they are in Orlesian PETA or something.

LI: Maker damn it, it is f*ckin' cold out here!
Inquisitor: And wet. Very very wet and cold.
LI: What made you think this would be romantic? I'm freezing my @ss off here!
Inquisitor: Clearly, I didn't think this through. Next time, we do this indoors or during more favorable weather conditions.
Because nothing say's love quite like freezing one's nether regions right the frick off. I mean, just imagine how horny you would feel standing in the ice cold piddling rain while mackin' on yo flavor of the week.
LOL i think your right it looks much better than it would be to do ![]()

All I say is dibs on that blonde elf chick because she looks like she'll be funny. I dig funny.
I miss DAO: Awakening version Anders. I really wanted to romance him even though it wasn't possible. He was silly and funny and I already mentioned that I dig that.
In DA2 the only romance companion that really fit that mold was Isabella. I did playthroughs with all of the romances but in my headcannon Hawke romanced Varric because....again, silliness.
I doubt they'll make Varric romanceable in DA:I but I really with they would. If so, I'd do the dwarf in half a heartbeat.

Am I the only one who's intrigued by this guy?

As much as I enjoy Bioware romances, most have been young pretty-boys (and girls) that are there to cater to the masses, now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it's just my old age creeping up on me, but damn what I wouldn't give for a more, um... 'experienced' gentleman for a romance option.

To be honest,in my opinion a good character ≠ always a good romance story,it depends more on the circumstances and the possible interaction between that particular character and your own, that makes a romance plot thrilling, and of course the outcome of the relationship. That's the main reason I always select different LI's for my different pc's according to their personality.(I'm a fan of the "opposites attract"scenario,so I didn't mind the rivalmance in DA2)
As far as the current known companions, are concerned,Although they all seem very intriguing,I can't really decide who would make a good LI for the inquisitor I have in mind, until all romanceable companions are revealed, and even then I will have to play the game before deciding...So I don't know. ![]()

As long as he's not prattling on about his dead wife in every conversation, I'll be totally fine with that.
