Ok,

how many of you boys and girls are in the club. I'm at my level 59 with my Vanguard. It seems a painstackily process to come to level 60. I never actually realised that you can start new game+ with all your state and gears. So, my highest one without game+ was 57 with a sentinel.

*waves flag* I made it in a week ago, I think. ^^ Didn't even realize it at first, I was just focused on pushing through the missions.

Do every mission you can, open every crate/lock you can, kill as much on foot as you can.  I got past level 50 the first time. ^^ Rushed through the second playthrough and got to 58.  Taking my time with the third to complete everything and I've hit 60.

bah, was so annoyed when I found out that I needed Level 60 for the game. Not only did I have to get several characters through the large majority of the game but I also had to do it twice with each...

My Vanguard is 60; that was six seven months ago now. And my Soldier is almost there as is my Female Engineer. And you get past 50 on your first play if you are on a harder difficulty and do all the side quests, which is tough but once you beat the game on Insanity no lower difficulty will be fulfilling… at lease in my opinion anyway.

Play on insanity for about three months now  without game+. It gives more xp so you can upgrade faster. And kills lots of worms outside the Mako. Anything outside Mako gives more xp.

I also have one Vanguard 60 - the only one. Just can't be bothered to play through the game again with the same character, usually. But I made an exception for her because Vanguard is so damn cool.

Technically, I have five level 60 Sheps...three are my fem Sheps (one paragon soldier, two renegades, soldier and infiltrator), two are dude Sheps (both soldiers, one paragon, one renegade) for my husband. Yes, I made level 60 characters for my husband while he's at work. Ah, the benefits of having a wife who stays home with the kids.

The level 50 cap is only in place until you actually have a Shepard that hits the cap. After that the new cap is 60.  Its easy enough to hit 50 - and you can get 60 if you use some of the xp exploits in ME1.

A large bonus! Larger than when you are 50+, and a LOT larger than 40+. The details are still vague.

I've had a few 60's so far, but transferred only my latest level 50-something Vanguard to my new HDD. Brought him to level 60 in preparation for Mass Effect 2.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. Staying home with the kids and play ME, or be stuck at the office 5 days a week...

Almost there - the launch trailer gave me the motivation I need. After this playthrough, my Vanguard WILL be 60! She's currently 59, with 802k exp or something now? I think I have 64K to go.
