I have just one character on level 60. I'm not about to do it with any others. I prefer having characters at different levels, with different amounts of money etc. so that not every import starts with the same bonusses.
The magical level 60s club.

Got 60 after 2 complete playthroughs on casual so that everything would get done faster. May have been a lot less fun than usual, but now I'm all set for ME2.

Darn, it took my adept 3 play through to hit level 60, and the 2nd one she did a boat-load of side missions on (but not quite enough to get the "ally" achievements, but pretty close).

wow I feel like a total noob for asking this question but why is playing on casual not as fun? I might try to rush through ME again this weekend to try and bring my 49 shep to a 60, but.....its more fun playing higher levels? Is there more enemies? Someone do explain please.

The combat is more challenging and you have to think a bit more instead of just charging in. Especially when your character is still in its early levels.

how do you get past 50 on your first play through?
You don't. You have to complete one play through to unlock the 'Medal of Honor', which opens up levels 51 - 60 and the hardcore difficulty (for any character, not just the one you used for that play through).
There are two more medals you can aquire, one of which will give you a ten percent xp bonus, and another that gives you a five percent xp bonus. With those two, making sixty in a single play though isn't too difficult.

The AI is basicly the same so are the enemy. But, your weapon damage takes less then lower level.

Ahh the magical mile high clu - oh wait this isn't the same club is it?
Hehe, well I thought it was funny. Anyway, highest I got in one playthrough was 57 - Jav says he reached 58 once but did everything 100% possible to do so. Short of opening a PC console and cheating your way to the top it takes two playthroughs to get to 60, probably 3 or 4 if you only do the main storyline in speed runs.

I have too many lvl 60s one of each class for both male and female shepards so I think like 13 total

My highest is sitting at 47ish. I wonder if I can make it to 60 by the 26th. Can only play about 5 hours tomorrow night, 10ish on saturday, 2 or 3 on sunday and like... 2 on monday. Grand total of 22 hours. Doubt I could make it.

My Soldier Shep is 60 but my Adept and Engineer Sheps are stuck on 59. And after seven total playthroughs to get these three, i'm okay with that.
