I'll finish my vanguard this weekend. He's already at 60. Took me 3 playthroughs (hit 59 on veteran after being limited to 50 on first run-through).

Just reached Level 60 on my MaleShep/Soldier yesterday. Sadly, it was not until I began delving into the Mass Effect forums a few months ago that I came to better understand new-game+ and what was needed to get to Max Level. Did everything -EVERYTHING- in game at Normal difficulty, and it took two playthroughs to hit the 60 Mark and get Extreme Power Gamer acheivement (360 version). It was a proud moment; not to mention it is a real treat to play the game with any Squadmate pairing since everyone is almost maxed on their skill sets. It is nice to be a part of the 60 coalition and I am certainly looking forward to the extra perks we will incur in ME2 being at 60, Max Paragon/Renegade, Credits, etc. Exciting!

I need one to finish my final playthrough with my infiltrator to have 6 level 60 characters. I'm at 59 with my infiltrator and I'm barely beginning. I have one of each class and all of them are at level 60.

This is impossible to do without starting a new game plus and the level 60 achievement. The game caps automatically at 50 until you've finished the game. plus you'd need to have both exp achievements to earn level 57 while grabbing every experience point you can get. The best I ever heard was level 58 in one playthrough, and the person said he even stopped to kill the geth on the part where your racing your mako to the conduit.

I have 1 Shepard Lvl 60 (insanity) - although I'm only half way through the save where I hit 60. I gotta finish it before next week!!!

I answered this on the old forum and I'll answer it on this one. I have exactly 33 level 60 Shepards. Most were done in 3 playthroughs, maybe 8 were done with only 2.

From my perspective, having a level 60 Shep is not even slightly magical. It simply means you enjoyed the game enough that you wanted to play through the story more than once in order to learn about the consequences of different decisions. I can understand having a club for "completionist" type people who played the game enough times to ascertain the consequences of every decision that could be made in the game but I cant really understand forming a "club" for just having one 60 Shep...

Its acutally not that hard. Just do every single side mission and you'll get faster than you think.

I play all my games on insanity. Plus I kill everything that moves or make any noice. 50-57 is not hard the achieve. Level 60s. That is hard to do without game+. If you don't believe me. Well I am sorry but I don't now how to put any evidence for my statement. You just have to trust my words. Beside, googling around the side quest. Looking for minerals will reveal more then than just mineral. You might find a lot more. That can give you more xp. I don't want to spoil anything. You just have to find out yourself.

Losing a level 60s? That is hard bro. Considering how much time it takes to get one.

Seems pointless to get a level 60 unless there's a significant bonus for it. Getting to 60 is rough in the last couple levels.

No what he means is that it can't be done. The game has an automatic cap at level 50. You have to complete the game in order to unlock the achievement "Metal of Honor" which grants the bonus of a raised level cap.

In other words, unless you hacked your game and forced an unlock of that achievement bonus, it is literally impossible to reach level 60 on your first playthrough of the game.

However, it is rather obvious that you are refering to playthroughs that you started after having completed the game at least once. On these post-completion playthroughs, I have no doubt that you reached 50-59 in one playthrough. Most of the time I reached 57 on my first, and if I actually bothered...60 on my second. Most of the time though, I skipped all the side quests for the second playthrough and ended up on 59, with a little less than 200,000 xp required to reach 60.

Its moreso the limited time that worries me. Should I try it out on insanity? I actually started off on insanity, but decided to go back to veteran, not because it was harder but because organic enemies took forever to kill because of immunity, slowing me down.

My only character is a level 60 infiltrator. Got him to 60 some time last year. I can't wait to import him!

just got mass effect last week....its awsome glad i picked it up. Ive been busing playing, went through two playthroughs...one mostly paragon, hehe....and one completely renegade but only got him to 51.. oh well
