No what he means is that it can't be done. The game has an automatic cap at level 50. You have to complete the game in order to unlock the achievement "Metal of Honor" which grants the bonus of a raised level cap.

In other words, unless you hacked your game and forced an unlock of that achievement bonus, it is literally impossible to reach level 60 on your first playthrough of the game.

However, it is rather obvious that you are refering to playthroughs that you started after having completed the game at least once. On these post-completion playthroughs, I have no doubt that you reached 50-59 in one playthrough. Most of the time I reached 57 on my first, and if I actually bothered...60 on my second. Most of the time though, I skipped all the side quests for the second playthrough and ended up on 59, with a little less than 200,000 xp required to reach 60.

I made level 60 right before I fought Saren on my last play through. I was freaking out that I would have to replay the game again just to level up once. Thankfully I did, and the achievement that came with beating the game on hardcore, mixed with reaching level 60 made me smile.



Now to get my maleshep to level 60 on insanity in 4 days...

I am level 60 with my male Shepard who is a Soldier. I am on level 45 with my fem Shep who is a Infiltrator/Commando. If I have time I will try to get her to level 60 before the 26.

got two LV60 characters done (Adept & Vanguard), working on the Sentinel now... which is a LV3 or so... so, lots of work to do...



if anyone cares, I usually do 2 quick playthroughs (that also gets you the freeby morality points) and then I do one final complete playthrough with all the choices the way I want them to carry over, in the two quick ones I might just pick whatever gives me the moral points I need + I might mess around with LIs and other things to see different conversation options and outcomes...

The character I'm importing is currently a 60 Infiltrator. I'm halfway through my third, and final playthrough with him, having run through twice quickly to level charm and intimidate without wasting points. All I need to do is find 2 turian insignias, one asari writing, 2 heavy metals, and do Noveria and Ilos, and I'll be all ready for Tuesday.

Lucid Shepherd is a level 60 Vanguard Nemesis with Singularity and a Paragon disposition but will be resurrected an Adept. He most enjoyed subverting Cerberus. He is looking forward to still more subversion.

I'm a couple of days off hitting lvl 60 with my infiltrator, but I think I might do my first playthrough without any bonuses, then import the lvl 60.

Interesting never thought about that. In some way I understand your arguement. It might also reveal what kind of advantages you might gain.

My first Character made, played on hardcore than insanity, no bonus talents...Holy Crap Was that Hard
I now hate with a passion endboss fight, it takes forever..Back to Normal I go (lol i always wuss out and play on normal settings on games)
