Shotgun:  Claymore... with a HVB and Smart Choke to destroy faces from further away.  Easily my favorite toy of all the weapons I've unlocked.

 

AR:  Harrier, at least where its weight isn't going to be a problem.

 

Pistol:  Suppressor is the most *fun* for me of those I have (no Talon, no Paladin; and for some reason Volus Adept + suppressor amuses me) but trying to get the hang of the Arc Pistol, and on kits with redonkulous anti-armor powers I'm more likely to carry an Acolyte for practicality.

 

SMG:  Blaaargh, rare but if I were going to use one it's probably either a Hurricane or a CSMG.

 

Sniper:  Also blaaaargh.   I'd rather use a Claymore, Mattock, or one of the nastier heavy pistols like the Arc Pistol or Executioner.

All my Adepts run with a CSMG and Acolyte on Gold/Plat.

 

See a lot of people saying Javelin. Tried that gun for about five minutes, but couldn't hit a barn from two feet away.

Probably have to try it again now I more used to guns with a charging mechnism.

I don't really have a preferred gun in all categoreis anymore, since I choose guns that I tend to find more suitable to my playstyle and build. But if I had to pick, this would be it:

Assault rifle: Carrier (No doubts here. It finishes stuff really really quick)

Sniper rifle: Javelin (I will however be restricte to use these only on pure weapon classes like soldiers, infiltrators and some sentinels)

SMG: CSMG (although I will miss the turricane)

Pistol: Arc pistol (I will really miss the talon though)

Shotgun: Claymore, becuase it's a classic in ME universe and still damned effective (although I will miss crusader a lot)

Pistol: N7 Eagle.

 

I don't care that all of these guns have superior alternatives, these guns just feel brutal.

Smg: Collector SMG...hmmm, ammo boxes are dangerous, you meet a lot of cocaine-addicted drells there...bad places.

Shotgun: Wraith no doubt, pure gold gangsta-style shotgun. Yeah!

Pistol: Talon, that Shield/Barrier modifier is soo sweet!

Assault Rifle: M-76 Revenant a.k.a. badassery in gun form

Shotgun: Reegar Carbine, if that counts

SMG: M-9 Tempest (got nerfed pretty hard in ME3, but ME2 version was as good as an assault rifle) Still my #1 SMG of choice.

Pistol: Phalanx (light, but more powerful than the Predator)

My loadout is usually Revenant + Tempest, but for my sniper I go with Black Widow + Tempest.

SMG: CSMG. It's ALIVE! Also a most elegant weapon.

 

Pistol: Don't like them. But if I must pick I'd take the Suppressor. The headshots are sweet, and it really does draw less aggro.
