And what class would that be?Biggest strength : variety
Biggest flaw : an entire class being sub optimal off host
After 2 years: What was ME3MP's greatest weakness and strength

Favourite thing: It was PvE.
Least favourite thing: Porting issues and bugs.

The amount of support the multiplayer got for the first year.
All the characters and weapons gave it a ton of variety.
Keeping the multiplayer mode co-op and not adding PvP.
Weakness:
RNG being to random or stingy.
The bugs and glitches.
Not having a consumable trading system.

I have almost nothing for praise for the team at BioWare, having played very little except Mass Effect in its SP and MP modes pretty much continuously for around 2 and a half years. I'm old enough to have had a first gen home Pong machine (still in my parents' attic) and later a 48k Spectrum. Real life got in the way for a few years but since picking up a copy of ME2 for £6 I just have to accept that I'm a born-again gamer.
The endless variety of the multiplayer is what keeps it interesting, but it's the co-op nature that makes me love it so much. I do wish good team play was better rewarded, but that's just a minor thing.
The only real criticisms I have relate to the very sadly unresolved and unacknowledged Collector issues on PS3 (on my second machine now, hardly ever play them above silver) and the Store.
Ah, the RNG Store, how it truly sucks. For new and old players alike. The fact that I still need 82 UR weapons after almost 1200 hours is ridiculous. It can probably be attributed to the fact that I've only played 30 Platinum games (29 extractions, but I just don't like it enough to PUG, which I do mostly on Gold, unless playing Vanguards - a netcode problem I believe).
One simple thing which would've made the store so much better would have been the holding back of character upgrade cards for classes at Level 20 once their appearance options were fully unlocked. If it can be coded not to give out respec cards if you already hold 3, or 255 consumables, it surely should have followed the same logic. And if anyone needs and Power Amp/Efficiency, Sniper Rifle, Targetting VI amps or Explosive/Cryo Rounds, I'll give you 10 each for any ARIIIs, Shotgun IIIs or Cyclonics you have going spare...

ME3's gameplay ist decent and a multiplayer based on ME1/2's gameplay would not have been such a big success.
But I love ME3MP more for what it evolved to than what is was on release day.

greatest strength was it extended the game's life TREMENDOUSLY. if there was no mp, i would have beaten the game once or twice and never touched it again

The best things is the massive variety in game play that the various powers and different character kits work together to lend to the game. It was great to see this all bundled up in the mass effect universe in an elegant way.
The worst things are the remaining bugs which cause quite a few things to not work as intended along with a somewhat limited scope in terms of game modes.
I believe support stopped a bit too early. It's a bit difficult to condemn as I don't know what the devs are working on in terms of the next mass effect, or what state the code was for continued development, or how much income it was drawing through microtransactions, but I think the game could have been expanded with quite a bit more dlc. There was plenty of room for expansion.

I think everyone has covered strengths and weaknesses pretty well - there are a lot of people who know this game so much better than I could ever hope to
.
For me personally, I think ME3 MP's greatest overall strength is that someone like me is drawn to it and addicted to it. I am not a 'multiplayer' type gamer at all. I've never even played a COD, Battlefield or anything similar - I've barely played any Halo multiplayer - and I can't say I've played games that really feature co-op multi. I typically play games only when I have time in order to escape/relax for a little while - strictly single player.
The fact that I will find time to sit down and enjoy a multiplayer gaming experience with ME3 speaks volumes IMO. Teamwork could possibly be encouraged more, but for the most part they really hit a sweet spot for co-op play. Even though I'm not very good, I still have a ton of fun and still get a kick out of a full team extraction
. My $0.02.

You know nothing about weird translations, unless you had Błotniak Cerberusa and Strzelba Jad in your hands, mon ami.
Lol, "Harrier" and "Venom" I guess? This is the reason I always play in the original language. The German translations are mostly silly, too. I probably wouldn't have played that much with a localized version.

Pretty much this. Why? I'm still not sure but it's the PvE and the feel like being right in the combat.
Dodges, different melee types and the variety of classes are what I like. And the powers - without the powers it'd be just another shooter. I especially like powers that go in ballistic curves.
My favourite Balance Change was the one that made tech explosions not needing a unit to be killed. Epic day!

Well after 2 years from release and 1 year since the official support have stopped the biggest pro is that the multiplayer, hated and dismissed by many before the release, has still enough players that when you want to play in the evening you can find a lobby almost instantly and have good fun.
Cons cannot really think of any there may be bugs but they are barely noticeable.
I would say the ME3 MP is better than L4D2 and TF2 Mann vs. Machine. You have to give it the MP team who really nailed the balance of the game(mostly, some characters are a bit OP) compared to say the TF2 MvM which is much easier.

They are quite good for what they are: Shooters (and I still enjoy a round of Zombie PvE from time to time), but they don't have any powers. TF2 has some class specific abilities but not enough to compare them against e.g. a Human Adept (Lolmelee, Singularity, Shockwave, Warp, Dodge, basic kit).
Any shooter I put ME3MP against loses in my eyes.
I played Warframe quite some time last year: There's powers and PvE and that, but in the end it always (mostly) came down to: Equip gun and shoot all the things. You can do that in ME3MP, too, but I find it more fun to shield bash, electrocute, make blue bubbles, force choke Phantoms and headbutt stuff.

Or: What do you ME3MP love for and what do you hate it for?
It's co-operative and not competitive.

Greatest Strength: It has a particular niche that appeals to people. It has good lore and following and is a coop game with good diversity of powers and weapons. I wouldn't call it unique but probably one of the better coop offerings right now.
Greatest Weakness: EA. IDK if I need to elaborate on that.

Pros:
The variety of kits, powers, weapons ... keeps life interesting
The fact that powers/ammo effects can be detonated adds another layer
The setting - Mass Effect has a nice 3-game back-story with a rich "history" to it which provides an little bit of extra sheen to the MP
Those 3 things alone make the game stand out from pretty much any other horde mode MP add-on.
Cons:
Origin
The netcode (bad p2p effort) and lack of dedicated server support
The store system (even if you could just buy 'x' number of packs at once it would be a hundred times better)
The glitches (you can still end up off the map, for instance, especially on Dagger and Rio)
Origin*
*A downside bad enough to merit mentioning twice.

The Internet would probably crash if you tried to buy as many packs as possible after playing one of Reefas Bronze matches ![]()
