Anyone know if enamies will be able to take or at least try and take a keep back from you once youve taken it from them. It would be cool because once you have done all you can withe youre keep they could get boring it would add a nice change and make it even more ove a better game than it will be. If they done that no matter it will still be the best game.

umm in the pax demo the red templars are trying to take the inquisitions keep. So i'd say this feature is somewhat confirmed.

Thats good then other games involveing having and takeing a keep dont have this option and it gets boreing what is one of the point of keeps that if you take it someone dosent eventualy try to take it frome you (p.s sorry to anyone for spelling mistakes)

How you take enemy keeps/strongholds, and how you defend your own (because it seems you will have to, though it's not clear how often), are interesting things I know I'm wondering about. My guess is they won't be turning this into a total strategy game, so I suspect there will only be occasional times you have to defend your keep.
We've certainly seen siege weapons in the screenshots (trebuchet, ballista), it seems you might even be using them for siege warfare. But again how often? Each time, in certain circumstances, for certain "keep-taking" quests... and then how they will be implemented ... lots of interesting, but still unknown stuff.
We know Frostbite features destructible environments, many people want to see catapults and battering rams taking down keep walls, maybe we'll see it (although possibly just in a cutscene.) I guess we'll find out.

I just hope they don't try and take it while you're in a different country

Red templar #1 : Sir we should attack keep and reatake it.
Cullen : No we wait until Inquisitor return.
Red templar #1 : But sir that's the point we should attack then keep is most vulnerable and Inquisitor is so powerfull.
Red templar #2 : Forget Inquisitor what women break keep gates with her shield and I swear it's not another red lyrium hallucinations.
Culen : I sad we wait and it's final!!

This topic probably would be best placed in Scuttlebutt.

As a one-time story event, that sounds pretty interesting.
As just a random event that reoccurs, it sounds incredibly irritating. The last thing I want to have to do is ride around babysitting a dozen or so strongholds around the land.

Having to constantly defend all your strongholds would turn this into a complete strategy game (a la Heroes of Might & Magic/HOMM), as opposed to RPG, and I don't think they're going that route. It's going to remain (I think) an RPG with some strategy elements.

I can appreciate an enemy with manners. ![]()

If they can tie it in to the story then yeah I'm all for it. Hopefully they can do it without turning it into some whack-a-mole/tower defense game though. Maybe use gold to hire soldiers or something so you dont have to be there personally.

Again, we don't know exactly how the Quizy army works. My guess is it's a bit like the agent system. It may be purely numerical. The larger the Inquisition grows in influence and power, the bigger your army. The bigger your army, the easier it may be to take enemy keeps. Or defend your own? Yeah, it'll be interesting to find out eventually how this works.

I can see this being a quest but probably a one time thing .

What, you weren't a fan of the turf wars from San Andreas? ![]()
(I wasn't, either.)

San Andreas was what i was thinking of too . It did get to be a pain in the butt when you were off doing something and had to come back to defend your turf .
