Just decided to reinstall ME1 and all the DLC for a trip down memory lane, and saved BDtS for last because I expected the same old troubleshooting process to get it installed on PC. Well, worry not - Bring Down the Sky is now a direct download/installer with no code required. Thanks EA/BioWare for finally resolving this. Downloading it now (fingers crossed).

This is good news. Not a PC user but it seemed very strange that PC users had to go through so much trouble before just to download a free DLC.

Download and install went without a hitch for BDtS. First time launch of ME1 on a fresh install of Win 7 required that I run the compatibility troubleshooter and save the setting to run under Win XP SP2 - no big deal though, was to be expected. I'm just happy to not have to hack all the things just to get BDtS activated.

Strange, I've never had to play ME1 in compability mode on Win 7 64 bit :D

Don't remember if I've had to do that before with ME1, but I have done it with a couple of games here and there so it was the first thing I tried when ME1 didn't launch. No biggie, everything runs fine. Was considering trying out the mega MEUITM mod, but things are looking better than I remember as it is (much newer GPU now since last time I played), so I think I'll leave it as is for now.

Sure thing it's not biggie as long as everything runs fine. Thanks for keyless Bring Down the Sky link :)

Will this install if you have the Steam version of the game?

yup - the installers find the game's .exe, so make sure you have the game installed and have launched it once (so steam does the first time launch install work).
