Did not know about this game till June 2013. A on the job injury forced me to spend alot of time at home, still there. Anyway, My Wife bought me a Xbox 360 and some games to keep me busy. I was still playing the old Xbox. Started out with halo for a few days, Then I thought I would try this ME2 game. Wow, this was cool. By the time I played it through, My Wife brough home ME1&3. Started ME3, Killed Ash and thought WTF? I found this forum and did some reading. Then started at the beginning with ME1 and played through 2 and 3. Right now replaying 3 due to the fact I did not know that going in to TIM base started the end game. I did download the EC by this time.

Thoughts on the ending, I thought it was all right. I played through enough games to know that finishing a game allways leaves me wanting more. Fav team mates to battle are Garrus and James. LI is Jack.

So to my first question, Is there anyway to get Jack back on the ship in ME3? Both times I get as far as the dance and Citadel then nothing? Am I missing something here.?

Also want to try and play online. From what I have seen it looks fun.

Unfortunately OP Jack is not a main squadmate in ME3. She cannot be recruited back to the Normandy. But if you have the Citadel DLC you can use her in the almax? Combat arena.

Yep, same goes for every ME2 squadmate except for Tali and Garrus.

Jack is never on the ship in ME3. You will see her at Grissom Academy and again in Purgatory on the Citadel for the dance. You also get a hologram goodbye with Jack at the FOB in London. If you get the Citadel dlc she will have more content only after the gameplay part of the dlc.

The online aspect of ME3 is really fun. The was you progress through the game is really RNG based, but other than that it's definitely a MP experience that's worth your time.

Well that kinda sucks about Jack. I did like the way they where going with her.Going to have to download the Citadel DLC. I did get the leviathan and From Ashes for the game this time through. I do plan to play this a couple more times all the way through. Next time I'll try something other than Soldier. "RNG" based, can't believe I had to look that up.......noob....

Any thoughts on sniper rifles? Seems to be my fav and go to weapon.

For sniper rifles, I prefer the the Black Widow and N7 Valiant

Black Widow is a good sniper rifle, heavy though and might be a little bit of overkill on the lower difficulties; but I think it does have an extremely high cool factor. If you have the Collector's Edition the N7-Valiant is probably the best sniper (funny how that works), it is similar to the Black Widow (3 shots per clip, semi automatic) it does less damage but more than strong enough to OHKO your average mook while weighing less and firing faster with less recoil.

My personal favorite sniper rifle is the Incisor but most people dislike that weapon.

I just found the Black Widow a few days ago. Have been enjoying it alot. Still trying to get the upgrades right, Not real happy that there is a limit of 2. Also starting to use my 1 biotic power now. I have been useing adrenaline rush, which seems to help. There's alot to this game, I guess it's time to increase difficulty level.

Yes you will find there is a lot to this game. You can do X number of playthroughs and still find something new whether its dialogue or a scene.

My Sheps has always been infiltrators and I my go-to class in MP is infiltrator. Black widow is good but I rarely use it. The Valiant I use some times but my weapon of choise is the M-98 Widow. That baby rocks. I just love to nail phamtom's head - or pretty much anything - into a wall with it.

Main game:

-Grissom Academy optional mission, if not you have to face her down as a Phantom at Cronos Station

-Dance in Purgatory

-FOB goodbye

DLC:

-Extended Cut integrates her more into the ending

-Citadel DLC adds a couple visits with her, ability to use her in the combat arena, and has her in the apartment party and ending of the DLC story

When it comes to Sniper Rifles I am partial to the M-97 Viper. Not a one hit kill, but the down time between shots is a lot less than with the Widow or Mantis.

Sniper rifles... I love the Indra.

jCoYTmo5mNrP0.jpg

It's more of a scoped assault rifle than a sniper, but it's great.

The Collector sniper rifle is an absolute killer on an infiltrator. I forgot if it's available in single player, been too long. Used it extensively on my Salarian Infiltrator in MP. You'll need it at a decent level though (for increased mag size), and it really needs the extended mag mod. It's really something else... a beam sniper. As long as you don't overheat the weapon, you'll always have ammo, just like in ME1. Melts barrier and armour in a heartbeat when firing from cloak, (((Energy drain/overload first, of course. Use bonus power so you don't break cloak and get the cloak damage bonus.))) I think I used the armour piercing mod on it too. Makes it heavy, but that's not important as long as you don't cloak without attacking.

Welcome OP to this amazing thing we call Bioware Forum... (It was BSN before, but long history)

Anyways, that's what people said. As for Sniper Rifles, I prefer the Indra, when I'm an Adept, because of Weight Capacity. When I'm soldier, well... I just swap them after each mission.

Oh, and, uh, try buying DLCs too. It adds a lot (IMO) to the Story. Except for Citadel DLC, but that is a long story too.

I have bought Leviathan and From Ashes for this play through. Also some of the outfits for my crew. Downloaded alot for ME2. The other two sniper rifles I am useing are M90 Indra V and the M29 Incisor VIII. Trying other weapons and working on useing biotic powers. I am about to finish this run through and I will be increasing the difficulty level on the next play through. Really having fun with this game. Any thoughts on the Omega DLC? That will be the next one I download.

It's pretty fun despite its flaws. It's more combat oriented and less story oriented, so if you're looking for a DLC where you make a lot of decisions you will be disappointed.

Omega for me is actually my favorite part of the game. If you like combat I think it easily has the best level design in ME3 and the station looks beautiful.

It's story is simple which I think ultimately helps it.

The DLC is rough and not without it's flaws but there is a lot in there that is worth checking out.

Good choice! icon_biggrin.gif

But no, no ME2 LIs in ME3, except Garrus'n'tally.

I'm all about the Javelin, as far as sniper-rifles go.

No need for the thermal-scope or cover-piercing mod because it does both naturally, just go for the extra damage and extra clips mods.

Kishok Harpoon Gun is also frickin great, though you need to buy some DLC item pack to get it in single-player.
