Get your wife to play Female Shepard (FemShep)! She went through all the trouble of buying the console and games... it would be a shame if she doesn't try to get her game on.

This type of game isn't just for men.

Note: I always try to recruit fellow women to game. Bioware is one of the few developers that create an equal play field for their female characters. (well... mostly. ok, let's not talk about ME LI's or lack thereof for femshep)

Downloaded the Kishok Harpon last night, will give it a try today. Will also try the Javelin also. Going for my first play through in Hardcore. Kinda a step up from casual...but much more fun..

I am almost done with SP insanity with my infiltrator (last touched about may last year ~.~

The only reason I used Javelin was because it is my favorite sniper rifle in MP. I have to say though, if you could get your hands on one, Valiant and BW would serve you much better in SP, because of the existence of 100% shield gate and the lack of phasic ammo.it simply does not matter how much damage it does, since it could not one shot any of the protected enemies.

OP try MP more. This was my first mp game and it is insanely fun. After two years and 2 platforms I still found it very enjoyable. You can post in the MP forum to team up with some insanely good and fun people. There is still an active Xbox crowd playing this from what I cab tell.

Any thoughts on sniper rifles? Seems to be my fav and go to weapon.

The guns in ME3 are a highlight of both sp and mp.  The sound and feel really substantial and the new sniper rifles (as well as The Widow) from the second game are all worth giving a try.  I wound up using the Indra with my Soldier Shep in sp because it's fairly light and easy to land headshots with.  The Black Widow is a more forgiving version of the Widow with lower damage per shot.  The main reason to choose the Javelin over the Widow in sp is for it's utility for seeing and shooting through walls.  I've only ever used the Valiant (also very good) in mp.  A special edition feature perhaps?

I don't know. My wife HATES Mass Effect with a passion. Though I suspect it's because my attention becomes severely divided each time a new ME game is released.  :P

Well, they made Garrus and then knew any further LIs would just be redundant. Naw mean.

Talked to her about that last night, I don't see that happening. She is more of a Zelda type person, But I will keep trying. We would have to get another Xbox though...

Garrus is a fine LI for femShep, and he can tango!

I don't think so, never is there a point where we can push boxes or break pots.

I almost always run with Garrus and James, then Kaiden when he becomes available.

As for sniper rifles - the Black Widow is amazing. But you know, I've been using a pistol to snipe too. A Paladin with the right the accuracy mod is amazing.

She does not like guns, She feels there is to much violence in ME. But I will still keep trying though...

I used to play Nintendo games and really enjoyed Zelda. My son loaned me Mass Effect, and it took a while to get into it. Compared to the Nintendo controller, there were so many buttons, bumpers, triggers, and thumb sticks. I was embarrassed to play with anyone else in the room because I had so little control. The last time I tried to play a Nintendo game, there weren't enough buttons, bumpers, triggers, and thumb sticks! :D

I'm taking a break from ME right now to play Fallout New Vegas. The post-apocalyptic vibe is interesting, but I find space travel RPGs speak to my love of Science Fiction more.

So I realize that I can't get the best ending in ME3 do to choices I made in ME2 game. So I am replaying ME2 right now, But this time I got all the DLC to make it more fun. Also playing as Infiltrator on this run. It will be my carry over to ME3. I am also still playing the ME3 game, But won't be able to get the best ending..Needed to see Jack again anyway....

We both got a laugh out of this!!, But after 28 years together it won't happen. She never complains about how much I play video games though...

She's definitely a keeper for letting you play video games.

NEVER let her go, NEVER!!

By the way, If You are playing infiltrator, please get the black widow (this is valid for ME 2 and 3) . I use it on my soldier everytime (he's more like an sniper, but I like to be a soldier instead an infiltrator)

I mentioned in another post that My Wife Doni has been watching me play the ME series. While I was playing ME2, trying to explain why I did this, who was that, I thought I should just start over with ME1. That way she could see the whole story unfold. Plus I could upload my ME1 Infiltrator into ME2. I always romance Jack in ME2, Or as My Wife says, THAT is your love interest?? So far so good in ME1, Played out a lot of side missions, Just saves Liara. I was running around the ship talking to the crew so my Wife would know who is who. She ends up liking Liara, Nothing but good to say about her and she does not like Ash. I am planning to romance Ash in this run through........
