I was contemplating purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition from Steam. One addition to the DD edition is that it contains the original soundtrack which "features 12 pieces of spanning the entire Mass Effect 2 experience". I enjoy game soundtracks but also noticed that the CD-soundtrack purchasable from Amazon contains 24 pieces spanning the entire ME2 experience (on 2CDs).

Can someone tell me what the overlap is? Is the one included in the DD edition just random selection of the full soundtrack? Or is it a typo, and we might actually be getting 24?

I ordered the "DD Collectors Edition" from Gamesload.de and on their page, the content is listed as "Official Soundtrack - 2 bonus tracks".

So I guess it´s the complete soundtrack plus 2 additional tracks.

Probably one of those tracks is the song that plays during the credits, whatever that turns out to be.

I'm thinking 'Suicide Mission' will be the song playing during the credits: at least the first half of them.

Nah, "Suicide Mission" will most likely play... during the Suicide mission itself, it has a certain "Final Assault" tone to it

Ah my bad, yeah 27 tracks on the actual soundtrack not 24. The answer doesn't really affect my purchase, I'm mostly curious if they're the same or just a sampler. Here's to hoping it isn't just a sampler.

hope they keep M4 Part II for the ending credits, it fits the atmosphere of mass effect perfectly.
