Even though I usually play as a rogue, I love Varric so he will be with me. Cassandra will probably be one of my go-tos, I really liked her in the cut scenes in DA2. The other two will be interchangeable for me though. That is unless Cassandra gets on my nerves...I guess I just have to wait to figure it out.

I probably will use Varric quite often; he was my second favorite character in DA:2 and I adored that game. I'm super curious how his story is going to play out. Other than that, since we only know two other companions out of the nine...no clue!

Cassie and Varric will likely be fixtures in my party. Varric was in my party for most of the game in most of my playthroughs, and I remain a fan of Cassandra's penchant for destroying inanimate objects.

I don't think I will have much choice in the matter. I always have a whole bunch of companions that I disagree with and that I don't want anything to do with. I doubt that I will truly like more than 3 companions. 3 already sounds like a stretch, so I'll take those, and they are going to be the only ones that I can take with me in the first place.

I will play all of them but I normally pick the ones I like the best and take those out the most. Companions like Aveline only get taken out when absolutely necessary though.

Cassandra, Varic, and Iron Bull. I'm sure that'll change as I meet and learn more about the party members, but that's my preconceived notion.

I can't really tell without knowing more about the characters. In DA2, Isabela, Varric and Merrill were my regulars after Bethany was taken and stayed that way until the end but I wouldn't have figured that out before playing it. I'm thinking that Cass and Varric will be my fixtures, but I'd have to see what I think of the new people.

Usually when i build my party i take people i like no matter their class (which means i played both games without a healer, DA2 without a mage entirely). So in DAI Varric is a must, and probably Cassandra, 3rd spot is open but it definitely wont be a Grey Warden or a Qunari.....could be the bald guy though

And as for uncomfirmed/unnamed/potential companions...

 

If Mr Noodle Hair McOverHyped is a companion he's getting left at the base or not recruited at all. (Cullen)

Baldy Elf may or may not come along depending on what's revealed about his personality. If he's a stick-lodged-firmly-up-his-anus type he's staying at the base or not getting recruited.

Mr Qunari Beefy McMancakes is a companion he's definitely not coming along. I'm already sick of the women in fandom drooling over his massive muscles.

Warden Dude may get left behind. Idk. I don't know jack about this guy, let alone whether he's a companion or not.

Elf Lady... idk. Maybe, provided that she's a companion. If her fanbase doesn't overhype her or she doesn't turn out to be a complete jerk.

It depends entirely on which ones my character ends up either getting along with or finding useful. If I have subsequent playthroughs (which I'm cautiously hopeful about at this point), I will then steer that away from not being the same as the first one, but the first one is just whatever happens.

I know that all the companions haven`t been revealed but have already got an idea who you will take out the most or will you try everyone ?

 

What I have in my head right now is pretty much entirely made-up nonsense based on what little has been revealed (and some things that haven't). BUT . . . yeah. In my head my party is currently:

 

Mage!Human FemQuisitor

Baldy Elf (Dorian?)

Varric

Cole

 

Soooo . . . at least I know Varric will be there for sure.

*Qunari Mage PC - Dedicated Healer

*Varric - Dedicated DPS

*Cullen (unconfirmed) - Dedicated Tank

*The Iron Bull (unconfirmed?) - DPS/semi-tank

 

That said, could opt out for an Elf.
