Yeah we still don't know much at all about the companions. Though hearing and seeing Dorian in action (for like... two seconds
) was way too exciting for me, haha!!
Do you think we'll get any more companion footage at E3 before it's over??

The demo is supposed to be longer than has been shown unless the 40 minutes was an overestimation. The demo also appears to cut out at a quite spoilerish point on purpose.
I've never seen a companion on screen come to think of it unless in conversation or in combat.
I'm so excited to have seen that demo with the female qunari mage today (missed the twitch stuff earlier but saw the ign demo today) and was thrilled it was fem qunari all the way through and mage as well... yay! ![]()
As for romances I'm really hoping for more f/f options than just Sera as so far for some reason Sera is my least favourite companion design at the moment... I can't even figure out why... she just doesn't seem as interesting as Viv and Cass and Scribbles remains more mysterious and intriguing too but I doubt even that is it. At the moment I don't actually know who or if I'll romance someone as it remains to see how they come across in game. ![]()

Are there still Dragon Age spots to come? I've mostly been following it on IGN but if there aren't more spots for them then unless something is released by a fan and confirmed later I would guess not. Blackwall and Iron Bull have been added to the characters list on the main site along with articles involving their writers about Sera and Iron Bull in the news section too. After all the great releases at E3 for fem inquisitor she still isn't mentioned on the site though and nor are the races
hopefully that changes once E3 is over and/or soon since devs are telling people that's where they can find more info on the game.
I thought I read on here somewhere that there's one more 20 minute slot to go on day 3 but I could be wrong.

Yes I noticed that.
That site needs some major updating. Ideally I think that should have been done before E3.
No one does updates before E3 since it spoils the impact.

I'm talking general stuff like letting people know you can choose races and gender. Stuff that we here on the forums know but the "general" gaming public might not. This stuff was never a secret, it's a fundamental part of the Dragon Age series.
As it stands with what I've seen up to this point, I will go with the all girl party. Femquisitor, Sera, Viv and Cassandra. For a LI, I would like to have Celene, if that is possible in the game, but it would probably be Cassandra
Female representation is so important to me in video games, so I would appreciate more of the female Inquisitor showing up, regardless of race. She's going to bamf regardless of race.

And especially seeing her in the DAI site.
And having her own trailer.
What I want to know right now is if we're going to get to see the demo with other races, since they mentioned that before E3 started. Are people getting to see other races at the Bioware booth on the E3 floor?

There's a vid with a male dwarf.
These are all the combos they have it seems.
This has nothing to do with the lady Quizzy but god, i need to post it:

I just... how??? How it can be that hard? Then the other companies who put females in games are masters at this. Either Ubi doesn't have the balls to admit they don't like women or they're useless in animation. How it's that hard to use a woman jfc.

It's up to fans now. Don't buy their stuff. They'll get the message that way.
Ubisoft thrive on that sort of negative press. Did you see their FarCry 4 cover? Very different from the one in the UK with John Terry in a purple suit on the box.

AC has a lot of animations. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually very difficult and/or expensive. I feel more inclined to say it is due to laziness and unwillingness to spend resources in something they don't seem to care much about than to sexism. It still sucks, though.

Gameinformer posted a similar article, along with a Twitter post from a former AC animator who said at most it was 2 or 3 days of work. So...its work, sure...but its not absurd. Also, think about how many systems they made a priority over putting women in that game. On top of everything, its a truly AWFUL way to kick off a new console generation too.
Ubisoft has managed to put female multiplayer characters in all the previous Assassin's Creed games that had the feature. It does seem like an odd thing to say.

This one you mean?
Having read that article and then the comments under it (or a certain amount of them)...
A lot of men just can't empathize, it seems, with the fact that women would like to play female characters (and also so would some men). And they think we're whiners for wanting to be included. We should just give up and enjoy playing our games as men...
But it's important to me, and I AM willing to play men in games. It's just that I would also like to have games with women leads available, and I'd like to see the games that have women protagonists as an option advertise that option more openly. BioWare has games with such excellent stories... you know this is a huge draw to both men and women. The gaming market demographic of 18-24 year old males is saturated. There are as many gamers there as you're gonna get. So marketing needs to expand. And if you're looking to make games for that same age group, the smartest thing to do is expand to women. Smarter still, make more grown-up games, and expand to older people too. And also make games for younger audiences, get them started at a young age...
But... that is just my opinion.

Oh god, never do that!
It's too upsetting. (And it constantly reminds me how lucky I feel to have a forum/thread like this one
)
Theres a line between being 'just another game with a male protag' and being a game that actively excludes women. Like...even the most recent Call of Duty put women in the multiplayer (Ghosts? I think?). This isn't a 'next gen' decision to me, this isn't a choice that should usher in the new wave of consoles. At best it shows poor judgement and poor development planning from Ubisoft and at worst, really speaks to the alarming ways in which this industry makes itself look uninviting and unwelcoming to a female audience. I have the entire main AC series sitting on my bedroom shelf, but that distinction might be enough to make me walk away from the franchise. I'm pretty disappointed by this choice. Heck, I could put that money towards the Dragon Age Inquisitors Edition instead! ![]()

Polygon is also covering this pretty well. First time I saw a site covering it was there, and they have a more in-depth discussion about it headlining their page now.
Maybe Bioware could share some of their female animations with Ubisoft ![]()
Yes I know that's now how it works *sigh*
