It took me no time at all to pre-order Witcher 3, I hope CD project red continue making games like this, don't change, and not listen people who cry when see little naked body. No double standards for violence and nudity, it's game for adults not kids. Well everyone like different think and it's probably our European culture is different from America.
Well, I wasn't trying to come off as crying, simply voicing an opinion as to why the game did not appeal to me
. Just as you're allowed to have your opinion, I too am entitled. I did not dislike the Witcher for its nudity- I disliked it for the rather pointless nudity. The opening shot of Triss seemed silly to me, and without any real rhyme or reason, but I certainly am willing to admit that excessive nudity in video games has always skeeved me out a bit. Not sure what it is, since real life nudity is pretty much a non-issue with me, but I think it may be that the majority of video game nudity that I've come into contact with seems to serve no purpose other than to sexualize and objectify the women in question. Certainly not all, but most I've seen fits this pattern. On the other hand, most games (and pretty much all of American media, to be fair) seem obsessively terrified of portraying male anatomy. Also- it may be that I just find video game nudity to be rather silly, I mean- why not just google some porn? Again though, that's just my opinion, and we all know what they say about those
.
As to the "European culture" thing- you are way off the mark my friend. Meine Mutter ist aus Deutschland, und ich absolvierte Otto-Hahn-Schule in 2002. 그ㄷㅂ음 에, 서울에 있는 영세 대학요에 다녔어요. 2006년에 졸업했어요. I admit- my 한글 has become a bit rusty, and I haven't been back to Hanau to visit in ages, but the point I'm trying to make stands: I don't think that there's any one set culture influencing me unduly here, and lumping all "Americans" into the same culture is a very big mistake, especially concerning views on nudity and sexuality. For instance, I've found that the attitudes about nudity and sexuality here in Hawaii are actually freer and less restrictive overall than most places I've ever lived in Europe, while, on the other hand, in my father's hometown in South Carolina, such things are more taboo. Then again, there seemed to be a relative middle ground in California where I attended language school briefly after enlisting in the army. America is a big place, with a lot of different views, cultures, and beliefs all mixed up.
