Don't really care whose's voicing them so long as two things don't happen. 1) If they've voiced as another recognizable character in the DA series and don't even try to make themselves sound different. 2) They start sounding like they're about to sexually assault a possible LI like Female Shepard did with Jacob in ME2.

If those things do not happen then I will be a very happy person  :wizard:

IDK, but the Qunari Inquisitor didn't sound like either of them.

I couldn't hear her at all over the commentary :< I was like "shut up I wanna hear this!"

If it's Jennifer Hale, I may never get a male Inquisitor even rolled up, considering I absolutely love the body of work the female Inquisitors would have together.

This would be my problem too. I know Hale has voiced a ton of stuff and some people are sick of her, but I haven't had my fill dangit! hehe.

How can you, she's that damn good. I too did a Fem trooper in swtor because it was voiced by her. Of course, my Sniper was 55, and had been for quite a while before I realized she was voiced by FemHawke...

I don't want to hear Jennifer Hale as the femquisitor, and it's not because I feel sick of hearing her it's more she is Commander Shepard to me and I can't overlook that. Although she is immensely talented and she might be able to do a different voice - I didn't recognise her in Bioshock Infinite at all! I'm certainly not opposed to hearing her in other parts of the game though!

Whoever the American actress is, she'll have to be pretty wonderful to convince me to choose her over Traynor's voice.  I can't stop listening to her in that trailer over and over.

But I've yet to dislike a female PC voice in a Bioware game.  They've set the bar high already.

Yeah her voice is amazing!! I'm really not feeling it though for my particular Inquisitor (or at least what I imagine she may be like). I'm almost certainly going for the American voice first playthrough.

I still can't believe we have all these options in the first place. YAY. :D

Play ME3 and you can hear a lot of her voice.

What would be cool, is if Sera's VA is Hale( I'm sure I'm wrong) and since she's only romanceable to femquis, you would have Traynor in charge of femshep.

Well, according to their hot tub scene, she already is in charge of femshep....

So to bring this thread further back on to topic, our female Inquisitor will join a host of other female leaders in the DA series. The Divine, Meredith, Queen Anora, Empress Celene. I find it brilliant, and very intriguing that Thedas has so many women in power. In a sense, it probably is about an equal number to the men, but it feels like a large amount because it's so unusual. What kind of leader will your female inquisitor be? Do you think there will be any difference in reaction to a female vs a male inquisitor in ambient dialogue?

I personally hope we don't get a lot of "wait, a woman in charge??" reactions the way we kept getting comments about the Wardens letting women join in Origins.  Since, like you said, it is so common to have women in power in Thedas, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.  That said, I wouldn't mind seeing different reactions from specific groups, like qun-following qunari, since it is part of their particular culture.  In fact, I really hope we get to see more about the roles of female qunari--the artisans and merchants we've heard so much about but never seen.

One thing that makes me so excited about the amount of women in power is that we might get to see more than one powerful woman in the same room (especially with a female Inquisitor, of course).  One thing that's been annoying me about Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire is how there may be all these interesting, dynamic female characters, but they're all completely isolated from each other, and rarely get to interact with other women at all.  It's the same for most stories--you'll get that one female fighter or one female queen, but they're still surrounded by men.  I'm excited to see multiple women talking strategy and politics and world affairs.

On that note, how do you guys see the interactions with the female companions working out?  We discussed way back in the thread the fear that Cassandra and Vivienne won't get along, but recently the website confirmed that they will.  So that leaves Sera.  How do you think two upper-class lawful characters will react to the low-brow wildcard?

Personally I hope most everyone gets along for the most part, male or female. Kind of tired of the bickering always going on between many companions in party banter. Only a few did not fight with everyone like Varric and a few others I know but only Varric comes to mind right now. More on point with regard to female companions though I think Sera wont see eye to eye with Viv because I think Viv is too poshy and I don't think Sera would like that. i could be way off base though, I don't really know everything about the companion personalities.

Trust me, I have. ;) But I'm getting used to the idea of her voice being the Inquisitor, not Traynor.  And maybe it's because I can't see Traynor's cute face, but in the trailer she sounds a bit different to me.  More serious and commanding.

Which makes sense. Traynor was not really command material. She was too timid. The Inquisitor is not likely to be such.

I had been playing ME for almost a year before I found out she was Bastila in KOTOR. and just recently found out she was Leah in Diablo III.  I'd have no problem having her voice anyone in DA2. I probably wouldn't know it till someone mentioned it.

I hope we don't see attitudes like that either - its a bit like an annoying mosquito that you don't have success in shooing away.

I never thought that Vivienne and Cassandra wouldn't get on - they both seem to have a certain respect for authority that would maybe make them agree on a choices that might be given as suggestions to the inquisitor.

Sera feels like a 'joker' and I suspect that might rub against them at times.  Sera might be the type to value outcome over process.

What is a flycam? Is that a PC thing? I play on console so I am not privy to such things. And since not all players can see it, it kind of still qualifies as Fanfic...sort of.

Yeah I really hope since there are only 3 female companions they do get along pretty well for the most part so I can have an all girl party from time to time. I know I like Varric and that I'll try out the various different companions and combinations over the course of my playthroughs I'd just like the all girl party to be an option too. Interestingly after the description of Iron Bull and him getting along well with Viv I'm looking forward to seeing them together as well, especially if she really is able to reign him in when he needs it... that got me curious to see how that works. And I'm curious to see how Varric and Cass get along now too. :P

Me too. I love her voice and was really excited to learn I get the chance to have her voice my inquisitor.  I'm having trouble imagining playing with any other voice at all now.

Not to disparage some fan's lovely art skills- but why in Heaven's name is that Kossith woman half nude?  What possible reason could there be for the shoulder guards and bracers when her entire core is exposed?

Sasha- if you're asking if we want our Qunquisitors to look like that in regards to body type... well, I'm not sure.  I can't really get over the fact that she's pretty much exactly what we're all complaining about when we talk about the oversexualization of women in video games and comics
