Spoiler

Male characters can be big, they can be small,   THis part I read the word small as smell the first pass. It made me laugh too hard, then realized I misread it.  :D  Just wanted to thank you for allowing me to misread and turn that part into something I needed right now.  :)

I would of loved to romanced Sigrun and Aveline to be honest. Sigrun was so cute, and liked her more after talking to her. Aveline for the most part was likeable in her personality but few parts I didnt like, specifically the two elf dealings. I side with Arishok, saying I'd keep the elves myself if I was him. Digressing, Aveline is beautiful to me, so is Sigrun.  :D

Oh, and I love Shale's attitude.  :)  Lets go squash something, its a girlie thing to do?

I think the reason male characters are so much more varied is because a woman's looks are a lot more valueble than a man's. Same reason male characters tend to be brave/funny/good at stuff.

But a desirable person doesn't make a good person so I don't know what's up with demonising unattractive people. Maybe they think attractive people have nothing to be unhappy about.

This is slightly off topic, but reading the last couple pages made me remember the Plot of The Prince and Me, with Julia Stiles. Besides a vary vague memory of the plot of that movie, the only thing I remember this movie for is an ending I have never seen before. Julia Stiles, a farmer's daughter who started dating the next kind of Denmark, is proposed to by the titular Prince but decides to decline. Not because she's not in love with him (she is), but because it would mean she could never finish medical school due to there being so much pressing on her time.

I feel like that movie doesn't get enough praise for that.

Well, men can be smelly, too.  Remember Alistair's dirty socks?  You'd never see a female character be stinky like that, Alistair's nasty barbs at Morrigan aside.

All this talk of scarring and not one mention of Borderland's Helena Pierce?! tsk tsk

feat_borderlands_1.jpg

Brilliant character and design. Since we seem to be talking about beauty and appearance, I love to point out how effective her appearance is in communicating her personality! She's hardy, tough and unyielding without being emasculated (by which i mean she still is distinctly female, not given stereotypicaly masculine traits to make her seem less "girly") I think she's a great example of an "ugly" character, because while her extreme appearance is relevant who she is, it doesn't dictate the entire story, and she's not a villain. Don't know if I want my Inquisitor's scars to go that far, maybe something more like Prince Zuko at the most extreme.

I liked having the scar that overlays fshep's nose and goes slightly under the eyes. I also liked the arm scars from Dragons Dogma.

I never played Borderlands. Not sure why after couple minutes I keep shutting it back off, so I have tried. :)

May or may not be off topic but chibi fever went on over in the Varric thread yesterday and thought I would share some of the lady PCs I came up with

A qunari and two dwarves

here's a link if anyone's interested in trying to make a chibi version of their possible PCs

I'd like burn scars to be that extensive in the CC for...reasons.

Her scars would be pretty awesome for a mage I"m planning. Very extensive scarring she has, never played Borderlands myself just the sequel and her image was so small on that I couldn't even tell that she had scars they look painful and awesome though.

I've only met one person with extensive burn. He has to keep applying lotion for it years after. Some things are restrictive of him to deal with due to those. So, knowing someone's personal plight, I wouldn't want that scaring. It looks awesome and horrible but one scar I prefer not using.

Wow!  I knew a bunch of us kind of called it on the next Inquisitor being Dalish, but it's amazing they went ahead and made her female too!

Goodness, is she ever gorgeous!  My love for DA elves is being rekindled!

Yeah, I'm tempted to play as an Elf first. If only she was a City Elf.

Interesting facial tattoo design; not like the typical vallaslin we've seen before.

I did too.  But I like how this one looks.  She suits the higher realism of this game.

I love the hair, personally.  But I do hope they have longer styles too.

I like the DAI ones too, but I miss the animesque irises.

Whoops.  Well, it's a well-done 3D image.  Can we agree on that at least?

Why whoops?

And like I said, I like the DAI ones a lot. Probably my favorite of the three. I just wish they had some of the DA2 Elf features like the big irises.

Female Elf Inquisitor:

2014_07_26_15_26_47_Twitter.jpg

She looks amazing, and while I do love the hairstyle, the texture still looks like it could use some work... it almost looks like the hair is drawn on the image, and it really stands out when everything else looks so detailed and realistic.  Maybe it's just the lighting in this particular screenshot, but I do hope it improves a bit before the game release.

Yeah, there needs to be more texture in the hair, absolutely. Highlights and things like that. It looks like this elf's hairstyle has the same problem as Dorian's facial hair. I'm pretty hopeful that things like that will be resolved before shipping.

Nice to see another female Inquisitor.  Thank you, BioWare Mike!
