I hated the look of elves in DA2. Aren't elves supposed to look like humans but with pointy ears? I'd rather not have them look like aliens. Qunari look different enough.
No, that's pretty much exactly *not* how they're supposed to look.

I like to see a human female Inquisitor screenshot
I think we've seen enough female inquisitors to last a lifetime. Male qunari please.

We've seen human male, dwarf male, qunari female, and now elf female. So exactly 50% is enough to last a lifetime...?

Human male and dwarf male both had their helmets on. And neither of them had their pictures up close like that.
I have to admit, Chron0id has a point. I love seeing closeups of the female races, so why not the males too?

Fair enough. Though you can also see close up screen shots of various human males on the website.
You pretty much have, just put a helmet on that female elf & she'd probably be mistaken as a human woman. Shame that they made elves look exactly like humans again
Really? I was thinking "man, she still has too much of that ugly DA2 elf in her" her face looks much better but she still has the weirdly narrow frame and shoulder width of an 8 year old. I'm not a fan of that. If DA:I elves looked the same as DA2 elves I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to play one despite how much I love their lore and culture in DA. As it is I might not be able to bring myself to play a female elf, I'd have to see more angles first.
argh! my eyes...still minimal subtitles...really, how much can cost having lettering of decent format?
(and not white!!! if those stay in a sligtly light scene, is impossible to read!!!)
that's one of the thing that make me laugh when people says "BioWare thinks more to console instead of pc". yeah. really. try to read those letters on a tv (where you can't stay as neas as a pc monitor) in a normal tv (not maxi) when the only way to understand what people are sayng is reading. and than let's talk about it...
Though I gotta admit, subtitles that are at the top tire me out so much. I dunno why but i prefer the subs to be on the bottom, I read them more easy that way.

since I have a very long exeprience of reading subtitles, I can now adapt to read the ones on top. but yes, I prefer the ones on the bottom too.
sigh. I miss Fallout 3/NV subtitles. slightly darkened background, and readable lettering. I already know it will be a nightmare in DAI when there is to choose the dialogue. my poor myopia... ![]()

We've seen a screenshot of the elf female.
The female Qunari mage had the exact amount of screen time as the male dwarf, she was just chosen for the post E3 video.
While the human male has been in all the trailers, tons of screenshots and concept art, a video twice as long as the Qunari/dwarf video that better explained the mechanics...
So, I guess that's enough to last a lifetime?
Yeah, two pictures posted on twitter aren't really equivalent to a full trailer/demo.

Yeah i do too, since i can only rely on subs anyway (not a myopic person btw). But having a big screen, it's quite hard to read on top.
And oh god yes fallout, best subs tbh.
We've seen a screenshot of the elf female.

There's never enough to last a lifetime. Bioware should NOT show more male protag/few female protag. They should show in equal amount of protags. Since we saw an elf female/qunari now it's best to show male elf/qunari. And next male/female dwarf, etc.
If only we got a trailer...
(oh and don't get me wrong i quite agree with your post. It's best for them to show other genders/races too)
Whilst, yes, I'd like to see the males/races unmasked, telling us there's 'OMG too much representation!!' Was a bit over the top, and 'to last a lifetime' - really now? Smh.I have to admit, Chron0id has a point. I love seeing closeups of the female races, so why not the males too?

Okay, that's putting one too many words in my mouth. I said to last a lifetime because they've been showing that female qunari demo over and over and over and over....I never meant to insinuate there was TOO MUCH representation. That's a bit unfair.
I personally much prefer the DA2 elf models. I loved that they didn't just look like humans with pointy ears. They were plenty pretty and alien-ish. Loved it. Sad to see DAI elves looking more human, but... *shrug*
Yeah, I'd just like to see more varieties of protags (mqunari, fdwarf, fhuman, melf, warriors, mages, rogues) in promotional material altogether.
I wouldn't mind now seeing a close up of some dashing male protag...
Because at this point whenever I think of "male Inquisitor," I think of that generic and dim-witted one with the helmet.
We still need a trailer with a lady Inquisitor.
There is so little female representation in games anywhere I would so not mind if bioware tried to balance it out a bit.
More lady Inquisitor!
Honestly, I dont mind more female showing from Bioware specifically. There is so many out there that represent male characters. I just found out recently that one particular game will have male/female options, and I thought it was only male. I wasnt giving it a shot cause it was another male protag only game again. Now that I know I can alter looks, alter gender, alter clothes, I plan on getting it now. I didnt name it on purpose, and it is far from a Bioware game.
I had no intentions of getting it till it showed various gender other than male option.
Technically, 50% representation is definitely not too much female appearances. A male elf to be shown wouldnt be too bad.. but... oh.. look. Solas. *shrugs* That was enough for me to see a male model elf technically as well.
Just sayin....

Well I thought seeing the female elf Inquisitor was pretty awesome, despite already having seen another female elf - Sera.
It allows just that bit of extra glimpse into the possibilities of this elusive character creator in any case!
That is true. I thought she was awesome as well.
So I agree with you Mes.

We did get one--the one voiced by Alix Wilton Regan. But she had her face covered by the helmet too (and she wasn't visible until the last 5 seconds).
Basically we've had one demo with a visible face on a female Inquisitor, and now two photos. It's likely that as the graphics are more finalized now, they're more keen on showing us the Inquisitor's face, so maybe going forward we can expect to see more close-ups.
Though on the official site, dudes have always been visible in the Sex Hat.

That image makes him look like he's one of the Three Musketeers
