I haveta say, the arms still are a bit of a headscratcher to me...they just don't feel solid/large enough given the rest of her frame? Maybe its the super large shoulder pauldrens or whatever thats messing me up. 

 

Yeah I feel the same way - I'm not sure if it's the shoulder pads/armor that is making her arms look like spaghetti, or her arms are ACTUALLY that thin compared with the rest of her body?

 

The slight curvature of her hips bothers me too I guess. It looks like an exact replica of Sera's stance behind her. I dunno. It's weird. Is that supposed to be "sexy" maybe?

 

But to be fair that IS a nitpick on my part.

Although the Qunari's arms are clearly bigger than that of other races, they do seem a little thin compared to the rest of her frame. Although I'll be playing a warrior so I'm sure armour will compensate for that, but it still bothers me that the Qunari are still at the mercy of noodle arms. This is one of the reasons I'd love to see a muscle size/definition slider in future games.

 

Also that pose... so many bad memories of ME3 FemShep's horrible idle and running animations.

It is an exact replica because it's the same animation. It doesn't bother me I stand like that all the time without trying to bring all the boys to the yard. Although, it's good point that animations like this makes it more glaring that everyone stands the exact same way.

If it makes you feel any better the running animation for the female PC looked really nice in my opinion though the walk did have some sashay to it (No were near as bad as Fem Hawke though) and I I can't speak for the idle animation never seeing it before, but if the run and walk are anything to go by I think they tried to place it in a safer middle.

I think they're both in the same frame of a walk animation, in particular their arms seem to be swinging back and forth. It makes it look odd because it's not obvious with the robe that she's taking a step forward and the mirror with Sera is all kinds of uncanny.

I still think its a safe bet that the last two will be raced gated though since I find it hard to picture them slapping both race restrictions and gender ones on the LIs. And sorry I can't find the quote either since I can't remember which thread I saw it in I'm sorry.

Gaider tweeted that at least one of the romance options already announced is race gated. And as far as i know josephine and bull have both been confirmed as pansexual. So Cullen, Cass, Dorian, or Sera is probably race gated.

No, he didn't. All Gaider did was shut down those who were saying he said the last two are the racegated ones. when someone said what you just said about that means one of the announced is racegated he said he never said that either.

That's what I was attempting to say with my first post thanks for putting it in better words than I.

 

Though if there is something floating around out there about it I'd like to see it since the race gate have me a little on edge still.

That is so awesome!  I love that literally the only change is from a masculine to a feminine face.  The hand holding the badass sword is just as dirty and powerful.  The body is shapeless and vague due to the cloak.  Her pose isn't any different.  I'm sad that this is some kind of limited edition thing, because I would love to see this exact poster all over the place.

@Brass Buckles Yep, I said it being wordy as in sometimes not making much sense. Though I know I wasn't wordy at that moment, I failed to wink emoticon to show I was being little sarcastic there.

Yeah... not sure how 'official' it is... Lion Martinez is a marketing exec for Bioware, and has made promo images for DAI.  So I don't know if the woman's face is an actual Inquisitor's - I do love the image though, regardless

Is that image even supposed to be of the Inquisitor? The guy looks like he is offering the sword to the viewer, rather than drawing it. Also he's not wearing the silly default dragon helm. Though I can't think of why Viggo Mortensen would be wearing all those rings admittedly.

I think she's implied to be, though.  One of the rings has the Inquisition symbol, another has a Chantry symbol.  And not all the Inquisitors have had the helmet. 

 

And if you look through his Twitter, he also posted a bunch of other art he did for Bioware, including some of the official Mass Effect DLC covers.

Yeah, I figured she was still the inquisitor - its just hard to tell if her face is of an actual in-game character. Also, i agree with your earlier post in that I love the fact he didn't change her hand. One thing I noticed a few years back and can no longer NOT notice is the 'weirdly clean woman' phenomenon in so many adventure and survival films (more so in older ones - though you still see it now). Where all the men are grizzled and sweaty and dirty, but the women look like they just stepped out of the shower and are clearly wearing make-up. One of the reasons I love Cassandra's character design so much is because, while beautiful, she actually looks like she's been in battle.

Yep I'm also wishing her arms seemed bigger too, and I hope it really is the shoulder pads throwing them off though if that's the case I'd probably like her shoulders to be slightly broader to match the rest of her proportions together as well.

Ahh, I didn't know they'd announced the other voice actors.  Why didn't anybody tell me that the American female Inquisitor's VA is so cool?!  

 

 

Sumalee Montano (Female Inquisitor #2) is an American actress and voice actress of Filipina, Thai and Chinese ancestry. Before she became an actress, she was an analyst at investment bank in New York and Hong Kong. However, she decided to leave Wall Street and travel through the Middle East, Africa and Asia. I believe the tattoo is fake (she doesn't have it in any other photo), but she still looks awesome to me.  And I love that she's a WOC.

 

Now I don't know how to pick between her and Alix, though.
