No it was her she liked watching LOTR for the pretty men and I kept dozing off during the movies^^; .Sadly there's not a whole lot to tell. She was in a Slackers with me and she wandered off while I was looking at the games I go to find her and she was rubbing and pretending to lick the cut out. I went to pull her away and being the drama and embarrasser that she is started messing around saying things like 'No we're in love! I haven't felt the touch of a man in years I need this!' and during that we were asked to leave the store. When we get into the car she sighs and says that's the most action she's gotten in years^^;

This was still at the point where I would get embarrassed by her now I'm just happy if she can go out and not get into a fight with anyone

I probably wouldn't . I had 4 Grand Fathers , and only knew 1 of them and even then he died when I was very little . I have barely any memory of him . And I loved my Grand Mother from my mother side . And even though she had her great moments and was filled with tons of wisdom , she wasn't the kind to pull something like that . Homewever , my Grand Ma from my Father side...was quiet...rebellious..even at her 96 something when she passed away . (actually , they all dead now) . And she was the master of her house . Had tons of kids , boys and girls . And whenever anyone would rebel....stuff would fly in their directions  And I'm not talking when her kids were young . No way , I'm talking about her kids having their own kids and everything and she was still the Boss after all these years . The only thing I found annoying , was for years...her greeting was squashing our head in her boobs until you stop breathing

I wonder if Sumalee Montano will use the voice she did for Nyreen, or if she will use a deeper voice like she did with Katana in Beware the Batman.

 

I just have to say - the animation is this clip is terrible and I'm glad I never watched the cartoon. Also why the hell is Alfred some sort of body builder?

 

I can't decide which VA to pick for my first playthrough, both Alix and Sumalee are great. I'd love to see a trailer that has an Inquisitor using Sumalee's voice so I could hear what her Inquisitor voice sounds like.

 

Oh well, this is just one of many decisions I'll have to make about my first character and so far I only know one, she'll be a woman.

Sooo.....from what I understand , the british voice for female Inquistor is the same who did Samantha Traynor . And the american one is the same who did Nyreen (Aria gf) . 

 

So which one you gonna pick and for whom ? I'm going American one for my Qunari  and my Elf! And Maybe leave the British traynor for Mage and Warrior ? Wonder how that will sound on a dwarf

I am allowed to be wrong. lol. I sincerely did not see the option to play as a female in the KOA:R demo and trust me I looked. I played it the day the demo came out and If you all said you could, then it was in there and I somehow missed it.  I know I found the decision odd, I'm glad it was just me making some weird mistake then it being a poor marketing decision. 

 

anyway, other stuff I was saying in DAI unless I see a character even better, I'm going to use the alchimest most of the time I ever do it.  (maybe I'll try something else, but i'm pretty sure it's the specialization my own female dwarf will have.)

 

I am excited that there are two voices to choose from. I don't have much of an idea about what any of my upcoming characters will be except for race, gender, and class. I know my canon will be a female rogue dwarf with black hair. That's it. (Why black hair? because my canon warden was a redhead and my hawke is a brunette).

You could pick your gender in the actual game, but apparently the demo was restricted to male only for whatever reason. I never played the demo, I just bought the game on impulse to tide me over until ME3 so I didn't even know about the male only demo. >.<

Yes, women can be warriors, congrats for your ability to link a bunch of unsubstantiated historical crap. Guess what, women can't be the same warriors men are. It's genetically impossible,

There is some archaeological evidence of some of those, as well as corroborating accounts from other historians. And it doesn't matter if a woman is an inferior warrior if she shoots you from across the battlefield or runs you through with a spear, you're just as dead or wounded as if a man did it. There is a reason that women were historically more likely to fight with polearms or bows: those weapons played to their strengths.

...? I played the KOA demo just before ME3 was out. and there was the option to play a female character (is the motive I buyed it after) Maybe depend on the platform? I was on PS3.

That... is AWESOME! I could totally see myself being like that when I'm old.

I still don't understand the hate some people have at the *idea* of an Orlesian accent for the player character, especially if there are multiple choices, and the VA is good.  It's like only hearing American accents in cartoons and thinking that all of them sound like Elmer Fudd or Foghorn Leghorn.  There's a lot more variety and subtlety in French sounding accents than just what we've heard from characters like Marjolaine and Isolde or the de Launcet family.

 

Also, since she's going to be the voice of my first two characters, I'd love to hear Sumalee Montano's version of the Inquisitor soon.

If they could get real French voice actors, I would be fine, but most of the Orlesian accents sound like walking stereotypes.

To be honest I hate the sound of a french accent be it a real one or a horribly fake one.   So I'll be gritting my teeth a lot, especially with the males with french accents.  With the women it's not so bad.  I have no problem with an Orlesian accent option if people want it.  Makes sense in the game, I wouldn't use it.

 

I just wish I could get an irish or something accent for my Dalish elf play through, grrrrowwwwl, as Leske would say...

This is my view as well. Someone said it sounds like Monty Python French, and I can't get that comparison out of my head.  

 

Though if they did it right, it would be nice to have an Orlesian accent (among others) as an option.

-sigh- even if it isn't in the game . I really really want the orlesian accent for myself in real life .  I think I be laughing no stop talking like that . I do have an accent (or I'm told) but it certainly nothing like that .

If my female is stuck with a bulge down there, I will end up returning the game and writing in complaints.  Such a thing will seriously bother me to no end, and really make me uncomfortable playing my character.

Well, most of the Orlesian characters in DA2 were walking stereotypes, so the outrageous Orlesian accents were wholly appropriate.
