I'm glad you've still got someone!! I don't find Blackwall interesting as of yet, but I'm fully expecting the unexpected once I commence the game.

 

It just sucks. I really wanted to romance Dorian with a huge Qunari lady (after seeing them stand next to each other in one of the gameplay vids), turns out he's gay. (Which is fine, in the end - I'll just have to create a hottie for him in some playthrough).

 

And now I can't have my big Qunari lady lift Cullen into her arms and carry him to her tent. Well POO. lol

 

I'm not that interested in Blackwall honestly I'm tired of the "I'm dying" romances. But I'll be damned if I'm denied my tall lady/shorter male romance.

I don't know if anything about him has been confirmed but I guess people are assuming it'll be a tragic romance due to the taint stuff, as you say.

OTOH, being the Inquisitor isn't exactly likely to guarantee a long and happy life, so maybe you can take that last walk together ... or maybe Avernus has come up with something in the meanwhilst ... and even if Blackwall is a Dooooooooooomed romance, at least we've got a bucketload of other options.

Oh I have no problem with the romance.  I think it can be both sweet and heartbreaking.

Things Bugsie is learning about Dragon Age:  I am currently doing a mHawke playthrough and when I speak with Merril she mentions the warden - the hero - as a female Dalish elf.  Are there differning permutations if you play different genders/class in DA2 if you don't have an import?  Only asking because I played DA:O first on xbox, then DA:O and Awakenings on PC and DA2 only on PC.  And one reason why I am looking forward to the keep so I can meld my playthroughs from different platforms.

 

(relevence here: nice to hear the female warden being talked about in my game!)

People who would have known the Warden comment on it. I think the only ones mentioned offhand by other characters are the Dalish and the Amell mage. Bethany mentions the Amell as a cousin. I'm not positive. There are more neutral mentions, but it think the only ones that mention the Origin story are those two.

hmm... so my femdwarf will have a choice between Blackwall or Iron Bull.  I'll just go in the game like I already planned, and that is without a plan at all. I'll know in november which one is the best fit for her.  I wasn't really feeling Cullen for her anyway. (I actually like Cullen,I  just wasn't so keen on him for my canon dwarfy. I couldn't see why she'd really care much about the mage/templar stuff.  weird stuff falling out of the sky, sure, but magic has no real interest for her.) I guess I have a bit of an understanding of her already after all.

As for my inquisitors I only play females so I'm thinking of playing one of each race... well planning to with the awareness I'll probably play a couple of different qunari and elf inquisitors before I get to humans and dwarves and I'm not confident I'll finish a dwarf play through even though I like having dwarves in the world and would have loved a female dwarf companion. I tend to lose interest in dwarf play throughs... and the camera angle annoys me too... although the difference between the perspectives of dwarf and qunari might be interesting. 

 

Oh... even though I won't play a male inquisitor I will probably take control of male companions briefly at least... especially in dark potentially spider filled caves. I'm thinking of sending my least favourite companion ahead to lure out spiders so they can't scare me coming out of nowhere.  (second least favourite if Cole turns out to be my least favourite  ).

 

As for mounts I'm curious to see what's in game since there are several to collect apparently*. Also did they confirm no halla in game or just that the pre order bonus was not a halla to clear up confusion because it was originally called a red heart halla in advertising?

 

*This totally makes me think of pokemon for some reason... gotta collect 'em all 

 

On halla... they mentioned that you could have the "red hart halla," which has also been called a red hart with the "halla" addendum being a mistake.  I think that it's a mistake.

 

I don't think we actually are going to get a halla, and that makes me very sad because I want my Dalish riding around on a pretty white deer with carved antlers, dagnabbit.  Ah well...

 

As for how I'm feeling about representation... pretty good, in terms of women, but I feel bad with the latest romance reveal, because LGBT folks are probably feeling pretty left out right now...  straight men, maybe also...

 

As for pretty dresses, I am kind of wishing we'll have some kind of minigame where we can gather materials to make an outfit for the ball.  The more work we put into it, the more impressive the outfit (be it a suit or a dress).  I doubt it will happen, but if it did, well, wouldn't it be fun to run around casually in some big froofy frilly dress?  (I'd like it, anyway.)

As long as I know what the end result will look like and when to stop.  Sometimes the "ultimate" option is worse than one of the earlier ones.

 

As for running around in a dress I would love it, and likely argue forever that there is no good reason I should be unable to upgrade it as mage armor in the armor customization/upgrade system.

 

Am sad about the Halla too of course....  forced face tatoos... no Halla...  is like they're taunting me, "hey look elven women have more romance options, including a unique one, but you have to ride a shem horse and have face tatoos that you might not like the look of, nana nana nana"

Yeah , apparently the Tattoo on the dalish will be forced . And there is no lore behind them as to be told which Tattoo represent which Elvish deity . which kinda suck . And it get better , no Tattoo save for that thing on the Qunari Jaw . But no face Tattoo....at all .

Okay well in that case I am setting the color of all my tattoos to match my skin color as close as possible.

 

I never really liked any of the tattoos in Origins (can't even recall if DA2 had the option). It was mostly because no one else in Thedas seemed to have any. So it felt weird walking around as the only person with these random markings on my face.

I cant really feel depressed only 2 options as I wanted Josie over all anyways.   I still will have Sera, Josie and Cassie romances. I may do Bull romance and unsure about the other guys. Personally not that interested in the males, only Bull cause he is supposedly humourous, wanting to throw Sera. And the fact he is a Qunari, new relationship perspective type deal. 

 

Josie maybe first then Sera, Cassie will be last of the three. I have no issues repeating same romances either. Leliana got the most attention from my wardens, Morrigan only one time, Zev and Alistair only one time just to make achievements. I repeat Isabela and Merrills romances in equal share, romanced Anders, Sebastian, Fenris only once to cover achievements only.

I'm kinda unsure about the Bull...  I love the Qunari they are interesting...  but he reeks of the super **** bi/pan life's a joke stereotype every game has had.  We had Zevran in the 1st game, Isabella in the second game, and Bull in this game...  I'm honestly just plain sick of it...  Do we really need a token supersexual life's a joke character in every game with simply a different wrapper?

What honor is there to defend?  Hawke, Fenris, half of Kirkwall, Zevren, Leliana, the warden, and who knows how many people in how many distant lands have ridden this ride.
