Well, I genuinely wish the showcased models in the official website didn't wear that stupid helmet and weren't so damn pale. The qunari is the only one that looks good so far, in my opinion.

Most definitely, you can barely tell who's what in all that generic armor and over covering helm, lol, I mean why have examples if they're not going to effectively work as examples?

I actually like the fact that the faces are covered on the site. It gives the impression that there is no 'default' look for the Inquisitor. In DA2 because you started playing as default Hawke, the game set that up as what Hawke should look like, so I just ended up using her default look.

To that I would say that i) if they all looked distinctly different from each other, there still wouldn't be a default look and it would also showcase the CC and ii) they all look like bald albino dudes, which is a fairly default look  :P

In a thread that has you choose what style for your skyhold, I chose the Orlesian style that my femquisitor will like. I most likely  try the other styles in other playthroughs

Here's the thread for those who may not of seen it.

Edited to Add:  To keep it on topic, I plan on my Dwarven Femquisitor to fall within the spectrum of 'neutral evil.'  She's going to be self-interests first, cutthroat, and if her goals and plans happen to help others as a byproduct, then hey, win-win.  I hope people/companions/the game calls us out on being terrible people, too, that's always enjoyable.

To continue this train of thought, this is why I'm glad we can have scars as Lady Inquisitors.  It would help reflect more of my character's personality, much like the scars and red eyes did for a Renegade Shep.

Err, no, you can clearly see their faces

It probably wouldn't annoy me so much if it weren't for the disparity it creates with the qunari models, which are explicit and pretty cool.

I think we're seeing more of the Qunari models first because it's the new race.  The devs want to show her off and I don't blame them.   More than faces, I'd like to see some different body types at this point.  I'd still love to see an dwarven female inquisitor in promotion material, but I suppose I'm a touch bias.

I too like the additions of scars, them along with other such details really improve the originality of your characters. I'd love to make my inquisitors feel unique and the a character is in the details.

On the off-topic of DnD alignments, they are primarily designed as guidelines as a sort of shorthand for how characters would behave and how they'd interact. Makes it easier to pick up and play (so you don't necessarily need to come up with a complete list of motivations) and so that other party members can form a quick opinion. Good characters are found in the ways they don't obey the alignments rather than the ways in which they do.

I don't think you'll find many disagreeing with you.  That helm has seemed to manage to irk everybody :P

No popping from me, I think you're right.  On the other hand, I can see why they might be doing this.  As a few pointed out, this can help avoid a "default" look for any given race/class combo.  I'm personally not too worried about it, since we've got more than one race option this time.  However, I'd like to see some of the Inquisitor's without their helmets on...and a better look at that awesome hair the human Feminquisitor has.   Shoot, the lack of helmets would allow us to see some of the hairstyle and scar options as well, which would be nice.

Yeah I've been pretty vocal about that helm not working for me... AT ALL... just yuck.  :P I'd rather see a mysterious sort of shadow-ie figure from behind or something than someone from the front wearing that helmet for the sake of default-ness or what have you.

Still don't quite get why we can't have body sliders. Something blah blah resources blah blah difficulties with armor blah blah bad for cutscenes la la... Dragon's Dogma seemed to handle it exceptionally well. For all this "advanced" technology, "current-gen", and all the rest of it, sometimes I don't feel like we're moving forward all that quickly?

Does Dragon Dogma routinely have characters touch each other?

I don't know, I'm just asking!

Lol! :D Not routinely, no.

Doesn't Saint's Row have body sliders as well? Meh. It's not super important to me, but... I think what with every NPC having such a similar outfit in Origins, it really highlighted the fact that they all, no matter the age or anything at all, had the exact same bodies. And my Warden was just another copy of the rest of them.

Hopefully Inquisition will be more creative. ;)

Since I've seen this come up a few times, I'd like to address this.  I'm turning 35 in a couple of weeks, and I have a size A cup.  Sometimes, I hate seeing so many character built like Isabella/Allers/Ashley/Miranda/EDI, while those with smaller chests are usually the extreme minority (between two different franchises, only Tali and Merrill seem under a size B.)  Rarely do I see an adult female character in any game that has a smaller chest that isn't supposed to be naive, childlike, a ditz, or all of the above.  I've even heard some rather "special" posters say that it isn't Merrill's naivety that makes her look young, it's the fact that she has a small cup size.

Agreed 100% having a small bust does not make a woman childish or innocent, and having a large bust doesn't make someone a promiscuous seductress. I wish storytellers would stop using these clichés. The size of your chest does not in any way determine your personality <_<

Yeah I get the helm's iconic but it covers pretty much the whole face. Do not want.

*likes infinity times*

Just tired of it. Breast size doesn't go to certain personalities types damnit. >:(

Got really sick and tired of being leered at (since I was in freaking middle school FFS cause I had large breasts and apparently that meant I must be up for every random guy touching/leering at them or me daring to wear a shirt was "showing off". *screams profanities everywhere*

Sorry. Just one of my buttons.

That sucks. :( Our western culture really is odd in this respect. Even I have been conditioned to find larger breasts enticing in some way. They're for feeding freaking babies. Babies! lol

Exactly I just.

Ugh.

But yes I like having well dressed ladies with large bosoms kicking ass without being promiscuous or flirting with everyone and their mother. No there's nothing wrong with those things but having large breasts does not auto shove you into those categories :(

And that's why my saint's row gal will always have special place in my heart <3
