I need to get my hands on this CC like yesterday >_<
Several of the devs on the panel today said that they think they have spent more time in the Creator than playing the game (because they love it so much, was the clear implication). ![]()

I'm the only one...........who see Ashley Williams in that pic ?
Actually I thought that too and then thought it must just be me as no one in the thread I first saw it in had mentioned her at all. ![]()
And more images of cc... very nice!
Hey, thanks for posting those pics. They look like they were from the Edmonton Expo today.
The 80s makeup is the reason why Cameron Lee should not be asked by anyone to do makeup for them, he said.
Interesting to note about the Character Creator, which we got to see live for the first time today - you can change pretty much everything about your character's face by clicking and dragging on the portrait in the Creator. Including enlarging or decreasing the size of the Adam's apple on your Inquisitor's neck. Soooo... that might be a small detail that means a lot for some Inquisitors and their players.
Well that could be interesting... possibly painstaking to get what you want though... really looking forward to the video demo now. ![]()

Yeah me too, I want to play with the CC so badly now. Bet I'll want to even more after the demo.
I feel like the female inquiz has been shown off more than the male inquiz. #JustSaying
Which one?
Err... this one?
I guess she could be a strangely grey human.

Only in Twitter images. In gameplay footage it is around even.

That's almost certainly a human. Look at the ears.
Okay for everyone wanting to know about attire for the Orlesian ball ladyiolanthe kindly asked at the expo and the full answer is in her thread in scuttlebutt http://forum.bioware...d-events/page-3 but basically the answer is no dresses or gowns due to animating them especially in that context and with enough materials. Also that dresses would be hard to fight in... leaving what that means to be speculated upon...
(I'm thinking the obvious... and that Viv won't be impressed if her ball is ruined by fighting... assuming it's her ball that is and she doesn't start the fight herself
).
Sorry for everyone that wanted a dress or gown for the ball ![]()
I'm still hoping you can have attractive casual outfits at the keep and manage to find some armours attractive as well. Oh and there's a material called Lazarite that makes your armours or at least plate mail purple in colour for those that like purple.
That's almost certainly a human. Look at the ears.
Oh hey, I forgot qunari have pointy ears as well. But why is she grey? I mean, specifically qunari grey.

Dunno. I guess the devs decided to give us a wider range of skintones.
Err... this one?

That was a human, yeah. The ears gave it away. That being said, I`m pretty sure I remember Cameron Lee saying today that you could be a hornless qunari like Sten if you like.
For those who are concerned about shininess on dark-skinned characters, here`s a male human CC screen capture from a while back.

I think the qunari female that was just posted is extra shiny due to the qunari metallic skin.

Great now I have lost 90% of my enthusiasm for a ballroom scene. For me as a female, a beautiful gown is a large part of the grand ball fantasy. Without it I will be near incapable of feeling believable immersed in the scenario, grand. ![]()
To me not having a gown at a grand ball is as weird and out of place as someone wearing such an outfit in the middle of the wilderness hunting deer. Is just, lacking in immersion for me.
Plus if we can't wear a dress at a dance, it means mages likely won't have anything pretty and dress like now either. Ugh...
Yeah, I knew you`d be disappointed, Puppy Love. So sorry for you.
The possibility of purple armour from the Lazarite probably isn`t much consolation, but I remember you really wanted to be able to have some purple or pink accents on your armour, at least.

It's my favorite style of robe in Origins.

Yeah I knew this was going to be very disappointing for you Puppy Love and I was hoping you'd get the option, I'm really sorry you didn't. ![]()
I just figured it would be better to know in advance than hold out false hope for something not happening... at least that's what I'd prefer.
I'm hoping there are still some stylish and dress like robes for you yet... also that the makeup options are at least appealing given the colours, areas and degree of customisation there. And I mentioned the lazarite cause I remembered you were hoping for pink or purple armour options... ninja'd by ladyiolanthe
.

I wouldn't expect it. If animations are a problem then it would limiting to have dresses in other contexts. I imagine they are a real pain to get working though.

Can we get some better colors, and make the skirtlike portion more feminine and less a weird loinclothy thing...
Sigh...
Little is going to make me happy now...
No beautiful long hair...
No dresses, EVER... ironically for the same reason long hair is not allowed...
And likely no armors with any really feminine type qualities...
The only thing expressly "feminine" is that silly exaggerated walk I'll never be doing as I'll likely be running everywhere.
*goes to bed with a long exaggerated pout*

They've shown some pretty tight pants. Maybe we'll get to pick flowers again?
(edit) That is to say there may be other ways of representing femininity. Depending on how narrow a definition you want to take.

I know how you feel, I'm NOT looking forward to the prospect of wearing another hideous, frumpy, unstylish outfit made for male characters and slightly modified to be chucked on the female player as an afterthought. (DA2) I hope with mage robes we will get a better version of outfits like we have in the past two games that look like a long slim dress and it's just the big poofy ballgown that's hard to animate. I hope we can at least choose to wear our battle attire instead of some ugly pantsuit thing at the ball.

I always prefer to know going in, personally. I was and still am disappointed that we only have 3 female companions (yes I know 2 female advisors but they're not with you throughout the campaign or involved in banter away from skyhold but in other safe areas, nor do they get awesome new pics like the actual companions do) and I think that some of the degree of disappointment was heightened by the way revealing that fact was so dragged out. Just tell me straight up so I can start dealing quicker. ![]()
While it seems that long flowing dresses are harder to get looking right that doesn't exclude the possibility of shorter "skirts" on mage robes at the moment as far as I can tell... maybe it does I don't know. I do think though that the outfit for the ball will be better than the DA2 dlc for one thing because more people are still involved on the game than maybe the number that work on a DLC (I think there's less from what they said after taking the extra month for polish, less people available to work on the game after it releases as many move to various other projects?) and for another because of the greater care they're taking with the female inquisitor in general this time around. Or maybe that's wishful thinking but I think it will be better than DA2... it's got to be hard to get much worse than that doesn't it? ![]()

Will see if this works, and not sure if should put here, but think the idea behind it is beneficial. Heroes can be females too, as the Inquisitor could possibly be considered as a hero herself in some peoples games. ![]()

Aw come on Puppy !
Sure you won't have your long princess hair , and you won't have your gown . So instead of thinking of yourself as the prize . See it as an opportunity to check out the other Prize ! A Grand Ball is a Hunting ground for tha Ladies !! ![]()
Beside the Grand Ball will be fun hopefully , and you get to Dance with your chosen Li and snuggle......and maybe even step on some Orlesian Toe ! Think of the Mayhem !
But!? I wanted that dress:
![]()
Right, or any other dress. Just the choice, the ability, to choose between robe and pants would have been nice. Color me disappointed if we are stuck with the Inquisition uniform.

I say....that pic is gorgeous ! and that dress is to die for !!
But not having those thing...well...I mean , the ball will still be fun though no ? It can't be helped . I wanted the Long Hair too for my F!Qunari . But I won't let that kill it for me . I'm looking forward to the Ball and dragging Sera on the dance floor ! ![]()
For a AAA developer like Bioware to not include a gown for a formal ball is nonsense ![]()

This if they're worried about animations couldn't they have made it a short dress? (Like Shep's but without that abomination of a zipper on the back).
