Happily, textures are one of the easiest things to mod and replace. I could bet on a Hair texture mod being provided not long after release. Though, it'll only help PC players.
Regarding the female Qunari:
Is it just me or does the hair look pretty weird? It looks ...frizzy. Are these supposed to look like buzz cuts? Two more questions:
1)Why do all the hairstyles with longer(?) hair part in the middle?
2)Anyone else feel like the lack of hair on the flat part of the horn makes it look like they're balding?
Give her bigger horns, and a squarer jaw and she is perfect! Never seen such an amazing default! I really like that they went with more gruff looks for her, and hopefully elf will be elegant
Okay for everyone wanting to know about attire for the Orlesian ball ladyiolanthe kindly asked at the expo and the full answer is in her thread in scuttlebutt http://forum.bioware...d-events/page-3 but basically the answer is no dresses or gowns due to animating them especially in that context and with enough materials. Also that dresses would be hard to fight in... leaving what that means to be speculated upon...
(I'm thinking the obvious... and that Viv won't be impressed if her ball is ruined by fighting... assuming it's her ball that is and she doesn't start the fight herself
).

I'm still hoping you can have attractive casual outfits at the keep and manage to find some armours attractive as well. Oh and there's a material called Lazarite that makes your armours or at least plate mail purple in colour for those that like purple.

They already confirmed that what you see is what you get. This isnt anymore hair options for Qunaris.

I don't dare hope anymore. Every time I have, it has ended in heartbreak.
Plus as said, Mike Laidlaw himself confirmed that the options we saw were all the options.

Yeah same here. I just... I'm grateful of one thing... there's nothing else I'm hoping for, so I can't be disappointed again... unless they surprise me somehow, which they likely will... I've moved from hope to despair and fear...
I don't think it worse, it's the same, and there lies a problem.
DA2: cartoonish hair and cartoonish faces = OK
DA:I: cartoonish hair and realistic faces = not OK
I oversimplify it, but that's how it looks.
Contrast makes it worse.
Mods will appear, I have no doubts about that. But it will take time, and a lot of people will move on from the game. Which makes me a little sad.
Some of the hairstyles in DA2 were OK but they were still too flat and poorly textured to match even the DA2 cartoon style. They were like Wild Arms 4 level of texture and realism which was for the PS2 and was an actual cartoon style (anime). Unlike that game however DA2 hairstyles (and ME3) were often poorly modeled as well. The ones that were supposed to be spiky had weird rounded/blunt ends for example, many of the men's "hairstyles" were just textures applied to a bald head. Add to that the complete lack of understanding on what makes a hairstyle fashionable, flattering, or even just normal looking and you end up with these horrible abominations. The friar tuck (3 versions), the jack-o-lantern with bangs the blob like tentacles that are supposed to be spikes or dreads or something. All of the options for the poor Qunari female have her bald, nearly bald, bald with paint applied to her head meant to look like hair but with no volume or texture, or what I'm assuming are supposed to be corn rows or something similar but look like a cat took a dump three times side by side on her head. 
Maybe next game you and I can get options more to our preference. Until then...

True. It is a good thing humans have a nice variety of long hairstyles I can retreat too.
Oh well. I shall keep the dream of playing a lovely amazonian long haired lady huddled to my chest. One day. Oneeee dayyyy.
I mean just *look* at her hair in that card image. I didn't even notice at first, but if flows down to her *knees*.
Yeah I'm disappointed with the qunari hair options too, even the one Cameron put on his human male inquisitor just before the female qunari seems like it would have worked and looked better to me, not to mention the one female human had in the demo where we met dwarven scout harding, the long black hair with shaved head on the side(s). It would have been nice to have a few more options at least... sigh.
On the other hand I loved how customisable the scars were and the fact you can put them anywhere on your inquisitor's face! There was a lot to like about the rest of the CC from what I saw so my feelings are a bit mixed about it at the moment. 
For those that missed it and wanted freckles they're under the complexion slider though they moved through that pretty quickly in the demo. What I'm really looking forward to is getting my hands on the CC and going through all the options at my own pace even if qunari hair options are going to be quicker than I was expecting while watching the human being created. 
@sandalisthemaker... yeah we're getting trolled but good!
And I don't really care about long hair either, I just wish it was an option for those that do (and there were a few better short hairstyles too)
