Could we please see more of the Lady Inquisitor?

I've seen a bunch of cool photos of women in military uniform but that's not the point, if you want a dress and can't have a dress then that sucks. If you want an airship and can't have one it doesn't matter how great the boats you're being offered are.

I'm hopeful there will be an exciting range of options for non-combat wear, but at the end of the day we can't have dresses. I assume there's a valid reason for that as well, but it can never be satisfying for anyone who hasn't worked on the problem.

The more I think about it the more I want combat in a massive Orlesian dress.

Oh, I'm familiar with the MotA outfit.  I was asking if someone had a source for the claim that females will have a similar outfit in DA: I.  Did a dev say it?

I'm wondering if it will be the exact same outfit as the male clothing, the same way that it is in the picture above.  No extra effort for fem characters.

Am I the only one that think it makes more sense for my female Heros to wear pants?

Impractical Armors and being forced into dresses (which makes no sense for my warriors (and often my Rouges) is kinda a pet peeve of mine.

It isn't about what make sense , it is about what choices we get . Maybe it make sense to be in pants . But some peoples want more diversity in choices . If they want to wear a long skirt and still hold a giant sword...it is a choice . And if you want to wear pants and wear a dagger...that too is a choice .

Some peoples want skirt and dress and wanna hold a giant axe . It is their right . Some want a cool outfit with pants and hide their dagger in the back..that too is their right .

All the peeps been saying is if you put pants on Lady Inquisitor , give us more choices of wardrobe . So those who want pants get their pants and those who dont want Pants get what they want .

I really hope we don't get forced into horribly ugly clothes, I know it's not that big a deal. But it'll still annoy the hell out of me. Hopefully they at least made a different set of clothing for females.

I though what we were getting was that pic (few pages back) of lady with red hair dancing with white hair women ? looked military and fashion mixed .

I didn't see it, but I suppose I could live with that. I'd really prefer they gave us a few options, but I'm not gonna make a fuss over it unless male characters get options and female characters don't (which I highly doubt is the case.)

Nope not really, plenty of people wanted female heroes to have practical armour for combat and many like having their lady PCs wear pants either because it makes sense to them or because (like me) they just like to wear pants rather than skirts or dresses. And like you I don't like having my characters railroaded into dresses, I want pants even as a mage because that's what I prefer. And because I don't like being railroaded into dresses I understand that people who like dresses don't like being railroaded into pants so I understand where they're coming from... they want to play their way according to what makes sense for them.

Personally I like as many options being available as possible, The more diverse the options the more people get at least something they like/relate to in game. I know budgets and time constraints limit options obviously but I always hope there will be enough quality and different enough options to give as many people something at least to look forward too. I feel sad for the people that wanted a dress for the ball and can't have it even though I never wanted a dress, if there had been a choice between pants and dress that would have been great, we all would have something we wanted at least. (depending on dress quality of course :P )

As it is I'm hoping what we do get to wear to the ball is tailored for fem inquisitor properly and not ugly (though ugly is subjective as well)

@AlexiaRevan that's speculation atm it hasn't been confirmed as far as I know. Until we actually know for sure I'm going with don't know yet.

Yeah I read it in a hurry while typing my post sorry... and I think it looks great too so I hope it's an option as well. There's just so many ideas/rumours that float around on these boards that until I'm sure something is confirmed I prefer to be clear about what is and isn't known... mostly cause I hate thinking something I really like is true and finding out later it isn't as it is disappointing.  :(

But yeah, the more options the merrier!  :D

Vromance? I'm not so worried about clothes at this point either... I'm just a bit of a perfectionist and I like accuracy. I promise you it annoys me more than anyone else but I always see the literal meaning first and my mind just follows that track!  (this smiley is very appropriate I both give and get eyerolls constantly).

I would like to see femquisitor wear a dress, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'll still play and enjoy the game and not let one thing hinder that enjoyment.

The last few BW attempts at pc formal wear don't inspire me with confidence, MOTA was such a lazy cut and paste of the male suit that I had to find a mod to replace asap (not a dress either but a lovely redesigned mage outfit chopped up so it had trousers), and ME3 had that awful plastic dress while maleShep got a leather jacket.

Personally I'd prefer if the ball, or balls, didn't have any combat and I'm able to wear a version of Morrigan's dress but that's for me I'm all for there being a choice of formal and casual wear for the quizzy to select. We can craft armour and weapons so why not normal clothes too?

Would you really want to walk into a party scene in the game wearing full plate armor, though?  I don't mind pants, but look at how Tallis's party outfit was dealt with in MotA, as opposed to FemHawke...she got a feminine, tasteful outfit that was designed with her in mind, and was appropriate for the occasion.

Female Hawke, however, got a copy-paste of the male outfit.  Which, yeah, looked ill fitting, was kind of tacky in its color scheme, and made me think that some designer at Bioware thought "UGH, I have to make a version of this for the female player character too???  I'll just recolor some basic female pants and do a quick shrink and adjustment for boobs on Male Hawke's top."

I am the least "girly" woman around, generally, and would never wear dresses at all in real life if it weren't for my sad attempts to appease my mother at family events, but I distinctly remember feeling very disappointed when I saw what FemHawke was wearing at the party in MotA.  Then I looked at Tallis, and I felt annoyed.  Both Tallis's party outfit and what we've seen of Vivienne make me think that they *do* know how to design outfits for female characters that are both functional and appropriate for the story.

It could be different this time around, but I think that it does make a statement if the devs heard our feedback about MotA and ignored it.

I just think that if they can make mages battle in their robes, it would have been easy enough to make a slinky sort of dress for the ball. (Not that their job is easy, but...)

Something like this?

So I just saw this in the Twitter thread:

I see you ripped of The Witcher with the new potion system @witchergame

Aaryn Flynn ‏@AarynFlynn
No, our potions can used by women #Hiohhhhh

I found that a lot funnier than I should have. :P
And the best part is, it's true.

I want my female Inquisitor to show up to a ball in something highly inappropriate...  kinda like Selene did in the first Underworld movie when she pisses off Kraven.

IE:

I didn't go as inappropriate as I could have, because mods, but would be fun, no?

The way Faye was dressed in Cowboy Bebop when she went to the Opera.

The thing I always tend to do with my female characters and it might be because I am a male but I make them almost as inappropriate as possible.  Like I was excessively aggressive/sarcastic in DAII with my female Hawke.

When I play male I make him as Lothario as possible. Flirt with all the maids, tumble with all the pirates!
