And yet we have four hair styles for the Qunari and from what I've seen, a super shitty selection of beards. Both of which need something done about them. 

 

That said, I'm really looking forward to a indepth look on the Crafting system. And I'm super excited to get my hands on the CC next month

Well I actually meant in the makerting. I probably should have said that. Twitch thing, two trailers and a infographic this week.

 

If you conisder all the options across all races at once the customisation is pretty impressive, though any criticsim about lack of depth is still valid.

I like that they say, and show, right at the top of the graphic that you can choose your gender.  This whole graphic is really neat, but the fact that they gave that such a prominent place is so great.

This is a great chart it showcases just WHAT they mean by customization.

 

I can go down the list and see at a glance is this what I want or not? And I really love the fact they're stating be male or female so players aren't left guessing is it choose a bulky guy or a skinny guy?(cuz you can't see her chest someone out there will do that) I like the image of feminqusitor it makes her strong and is action based and I can tell via her build and frame its a she. I also like how with the races its divided between 2 male and 2 female options.

 

I know on the back of the cover they said there was no explicit image or wording that stated you could be a he or she hero but their image of the mini heros with the words choose male or female would've been a nice break bar between a header image and the story text on the back of the cover.

The more I see of those two shots of Inquisitors....  I have to say something about the pose of the male one feels...  off.

The only thing that concerns me is that they have used a few of the flames of Inquisition graphics on the poster wihich implies that preorder bonuses are being used to make up the numbers. If they were to use it as a back of box picture it would surely need a disclaimer stating that.

I didn't get that impression at all.  Plus, the pre-order bonuses shouldn't make a difference to that chart.   For the pre-order bonuses, you get:

 

• One sword
• One shield
• One staff
• One warhammer
• One bow
• One dagger
• One set of armor
• Two horses
• A throne for the keep

 

 

For one, I really doubt that they are including the 8 items (including the throne) from the pre-order.  Most companies avoid adding pre-order bonuses in their advertising, or they'll make it very clear that it's a pre-order thing.  They'll state what is in the vanilla game.  If they had counted the pre-order bonuses, it would be right there on the poster now in small print.  They wouldn't wait until it comes out on the box to do that.

 

For another, so what if they are including 8 measly items without specifically saying that it's from pre-order?  That isn't a game breaker and it doesn't make that poster dishonest or lying in any real way.

I'm not meaning to pick a fight or anything.  Showcasing the customisation and choice is a great thing!

That might be the reason they aren't addressing the issues about em. The last thing they want to do is destroy their current marketing tack.

But I am glad we have a ridiculously customizable RPG, coupled with BioWare's storytelling. Should be good. I just hope crafting is easy to understand/not clunky. Also, I seriously hope crafting ingredients don't take up backpack space.

The latest video they released, the one for customisation, also showed, what I think was, the starter gear for rogues and an armor on a human female.  The only reason I think it was the starter gear is because the voice over said something about "what you start with and what you can have later on".  Or they may have just showed the two outfits and it didn't matter what the voice over guy was saying.   Anyway, what I was trying to say with all this babbling is that the two outfits were really nice.  I was trying to look for screenshots of them, but couldn't find any and I had no luck doing it myself.

Got my pre-order in.    I've been meaning to do so (for the Deluxe digital version) for awhile, but that poster reminded me.  

 

Man, I really hope that those two Inquisitors are the front, back and inside flaps of the box.  I might not be getting the physical copy, but I know seeing that in a Target or Gamestop would make me smile.

 

The eye color options on the CC also brought a huge grin to my face.  I can make eyes without modding that look like this:

 

 

Her name will be Chrys Cadash, short for Chrysoprase, a kind of gem that I own.

 Yes it would be fantastic but I think it was printed months ago which means it isn't going to get anything added. Though I keep obsessing with that box cover don't I?
