I guess its safe to say that femquisitor will have her hair behind her ear on one side. I like to be wrong about this.

I'm really liking some of these ideas.  I can't wait to see them.  :D

May I ask why?

Why I like to be wrong or about the hair behind the ear?

Looking at the screenshot with the human female with her hair behind her ear tells me that it would be that way when playing the game like Ashley in ME3. I  have nothing against having the hair behind the ear, I would like to have it the way Miranda has her hair in ME2/ME3 covering both ears.

What is the general look you guys are going for your first femquisitor?

Eyes like this:

underworld-selene-contact-lenses-pair.jp

Hair like this (if I can but black):

mohawk-hairstyles-for-girls-with-long-ha

And for everything else basically be like this from style to how she conducts herself:

Dwarf lady will have 1or 2 big wicked scars, a wide nose, light brown skin, and big brown eyes, I found a picture of what I want once probly saved somewhere on here. Qunari woman I would love with to look like the 3rd preset, I kinda imagine her with a big happy grin too, so if I can accomplish that I am happy. Elf lass is harder, hopefully a braid, if not, any put up hair will do, I want her to look younger a bit than the other 2, I might give her a strange eye color, maybe pink or gold.

That's the kind of mohawk I wanted for my fem qunari (maybe slightly shorter sitting on the back of her neck just below her skull) but this kind of thing in black... that would have been perfect.

Also I love the eyes and would have been happy with kate's hair in that movie too... probably on an elf or human (more likely human).  :D

I'm not entirely sure yet what my first inquisitor will be yet, but most likely my canon inquisitor will be female to mix it up. Gotta say i've come to like the added connection with andraste aswell :D

Yeah, sadly I don't expect armor like what I linked. But maybe since it isn't a full combat skirt they can do something like it.

So? Why can't we have some of it as well as 'more Dragon Age-like' armor? Give me one good reason please.

...Staying within the theme and realm of Dragon Age and not veering off into another realm for no good reason?

Go play a jrpg if you want that kind of armour.

I kinda did when I pointed out that it was more JRPG territory

Armor has to match the style of the game, Dragon Age is more western RPG style and it's armor/outfits reflect that

Except the armor I linked is very similar to the ornate Massive Armors in DAO, so I don't see the difference really.

It's similar yes, but the overall design is still jrpg (Plus the Massive Armor got scaled down but that's not relevant)

So the reason you think it shouldn't be in is because you believe it is a different style? Sorry, not a good reason since it is subjective. If there is an objective reason, I would concede it.

It's not that I think it shouldn't be in or believe it's a different style, it is in-fact a different style overall

Armor and outfit reflects the style a game is

And again, that view is subjective because the Massive Armors were very similar to what I posted. Thus that style of armor is recognized as part of Dragon Age's style.

I firmly believe that armor and most things in a video game needs to keep to its theme. I mean there are very good reasons it would feel off otherwise, but armor like above, are not against the nature of the themes. I think it is divisive to say feminine armor is out of place for RPGs but I also think it is slightly wrong for the game to encompass a certain look that does not fit its motifs. The best of all worlds is if they can make feminine armor that does suit it, and it's themes. Something that neither talks down to femininity, nor dismisses it. I'm seeing lots of arrow to the boob injures, in that first one.

That really depends... Some arrows can penetrate armor, though technically that is why Crossbows were made, to cut through plate mail specifically.

Oh please people, let's not restrict dragon age by it's drab armor in origins, come on, we have whole other cultures that can have their own armor and finery.  We're dealing with a decorative Orlais right now, a culture in which everything needs to be magnificent and over the top, and you're telling me their armor should look like Fereldan dog fodder.  Heck Fereldan is made fun of for it's drab browns, ect.  Is it too much to ask that Orlais have some fancy armor, some reminiscent of dresses and armor combined into a thing of beauty.

I just don't buy all Orais dressing in drab Fereldan browns, with its boring and drab designs.  Orlais is fabulous in everything they do, and that should be represented in their armor as well.  I hate that the game started in Fereldan, because now everyones demanding the armor keep the Fereldan feel and completely forget there's other cultures with plenty of room in them for more feminine and fantastic armor designs.

You make a good point. The style that people see as "The Dragon Age style" is really only the style of Ferelden and possibly the Free Marches(Don't know how much of Free Marches dresses like Kirkwall). Even in DA2: Mark of the Assassin the Orlesians had a completely different style, and that was on the Eclipse engine rather than the much more advanced Frostbite engine.

I remember Leliana complaining about how awful her boots were because they were clunky and furlined instead of beautiful and satin like those blue shoes she loved.
