I found something interesting in a game.

Walking along, saved a lady from a threat and turns out that her and her wife was fending off the threat alone. The one mentioned hating being a woman in distress. Considering what I had to use to even reach them was amazing that they lived at all. So, that distress part was alright to me. Getting to them, pressed my own team. I cant say what and where as it would be a spoiler unless no plans of playing, some will know what im talking about.

The two are wives, which I found is a great entry. They wasnt eye candy, and very intriguing characters. Their way of life would make women happy that was done. Ones a mechanic, metal worker while the other deals with upholstery and electronics. The only bad tidbit was once done talking the only guy in my team had to ask if they had time to talk to each other. Then said, what? Why you looking at me like that. If I hadnt needed him for a specific reason, I would of dumped him right in the middle of the rampaging that was happening.

So I got a chance to look at the customization in more detail, its amazing what you can do with the eyes, the scar system looks neat I'm excited to see how that will work when I get a hold of it and I'm interested in the box slider thing they showed like when positioning the ears the way they've worked that system is very unique.

 

I'm also thinking about possibly making my first male for the series the options I saw for the men looks like I might be able to make a cute guy which would be a first for the series.

 

One cool thing I thought of when viewing all the Qunari horns was to bling them out would Qunari do that? I saw one that had extra items on it but I was thinking if BW added the fan made hair styles where straight or braided hair is wound around the horns wouldn't Qunari also use say for richer ones set diamonds or other stones into the horns themselves it would be like gold teeth but instead bejeweled horns and players could choose the colors from all colors so you could make yours have black ice, diamond,rubies or other stones so long as you have horns if you have a stump or no horns at all you obviously can't gem them up but if you have the broken style or full sets you could add these accents.

I"m not really surprised, but I am disappointed. I was hoping they'd go neutral or split.

I've never posted in here before, but I just wanted to say that I'm incredibly disappointed in the new trailer. With a title like "The Hero of Thedas," I had hoped that BioWare would show off at least a few of the other Inquisitors who could also be the Hero of Thedas, not just male humans.

Yeah, I thought that maybe this trailer would be showing the different races and gender combinations, since, ya know, when I think of the "Hero of Thedas" it's not that guy, but whatever.  The music was nice.

It's sort of a yes and no thing to me.

 

For the hardcore bioware fans who will watch these streams, yeah it's good to see mostly female inquisitors in gameplay.

 

But most people won't see those, most people will just watch the trailers.

Actually both male and female in gameplays - male in trailers only. They barely showed the female at the end in one of those trailers.

LOL, this is true, I will go check it out.  I went to the Korra panel last Thursday at NY Comic Con and I was almost in tears at the end when they talked about this being their last panel EVER.  I'm a huge fan of A:tLA and LoK.

 

And to keep it on topic, I realize that they've shown the female Inquisitor a lot in demos and that one time in a trailer...but it just would have been nice, in a trailer titled "Hero of Thedas", if they had chosen to show more than one version of the hero.  Not even just the female human, but male and female Inquisitors of other races would have been awesome, imo.

The issue is primarily the one that Ceoldoren mentions. For hardcore BioWare fans like those of us who hang about here, it's great. However, the vast majority of people will never see the twitch streams. I have friends who are eagerly awaiting DA:I and know loads more about it than the average person (e.g. the youtubers of recent infamy), but still only watch the official trailers.

 

People (not you) who have a tendency to dog pile on anyone who mentions showing femquisitor with the whole 'most gamers are dudes so they only show dudes' argument forget that it is marketing which has an effect on increasing exposure that could potentially shift that 'reality'. People who want to see a woman inquisitor in official trailers aren't doing it simply because we, the fans, would like it. It's more to potentially show the people out there who will never watch the twitch streams that a woman inquisitor is possible, something they might be more unaware of than the Youtubers were unaware that the rogue Inquisitor was not a separate class to Varric just because the latter had a crossbow.

Depends on the game. It's very popular for DOTA/LoL.

Highest viewed DA stream on Twitch is the gameplay from two weeks ago with 90kish views. That video showed the fem!Qunari in the CC but the gameplay was with a human male warrior Inquisitor.

Second CC video with 60k views showing human female rogue Inquisitor.

Most recent one 30k views, with female elf and human female mage.

Looking at youtube, videos on there undoubtedly have more views. On youtube they range from 100-600k views.

This is factually incorrect to state that gameplay videos have exclusively shown female Inquisitor. Male Inquisitor was shown just two weeks ago. Along with all the recent videos released of youtube people playing the game where a lot were male Inquisitor.
