If you don't like any of the armor available in the game when released just wait a month or so and you'll probably have several player-made options to choose from.

Sure, but I don't think Kallen gets that option due to being on console.

They have said, repeatedly, that without a toolkit, the frostbite engine will be extremely hard to mod in DA:I, and there is no plan for a toolkit anytime soon as far as I am aware, so don't get your hopes up too high about player created content or items coming out soon after release.

To add to this: There is a single mod out there for Battlefield 3, which also runs on Frostbite.  It is just a color tweak mod.  It doesn't have character created items or new meshes.  It took them a year to do without a toolkit.  The Senior VP of EA about 3 years ago said flat out that they were never going to release a toolkit for Frostbite, so there won't be any player creations for quite some time.  We might see mods in a couple of years, as the engine is used in more games.   Until then, no custom creation mods for anyone.

Let's see.... Would you say these are feminine?

(Apologies for the boob window on the cloaked female, but that can be fixed with a higher collar.)

I only consider the first and third as armour and no, although snow white's clearly wearing it over her famous outfit so I guess those small bits technically are?

The poor, poor Qunquisitor. It's a special kind of torture when you can say that Donald Trump has a hairstyle of comparable quality and taste.

Ummm, not to be rude. But can we mayyybe keep discussions about hair style/armor/cc options etc. to a minimum?  Because there are multiple threads for that, and this kind of arguments tends to go in circles ^_^

I have to agree. I think maybe in a year or two you might start to see things but until someone cracks how to add textures and meshes into the game new content mods will be a future hope.

That said game balance tweaks or unlocking clothing options that are mainly for npcs and giving them to PCs are likely things that CAN be figured out and will be modded fairly quickly.

Would the 2nd and 4th not be light armour for rogues?

Uhm, it's not over her dress? Fabric in her signature colours were incorporated into the armour, but it's one full set.

I've always been wary of interjecting in this thread, but I have to ask, what do you think makes armor feminine? If you don't want them making exceptions for different anatomy, like boob plates, aren't you basically going to have male armor?

Basically have the armor be pretty but practical. I wish Puppy Love was on. They are able to explain this much better than I can.

That's a bit extreme, I think they look good. Certainly better than what we got in Origin

Comparing the armors we have now on one of the most advanced engines to armors we had a few years ago on an very old engine is not a very compelling argument. It's like comparing the movie The Incredible Hulk to the movie The Hulk. Of course the one with more advanced technology is going to look better.

But that's not my complaint.

Don't really see how it is offtopic since it is about the Female Inquisitor.

They're just clothes. I don't really care how they look at that point.

I consider the entire section from her arm to shoulders to be unarmored, thereby exposing whatever she's wearing underneath.

As far as I known, Kallen is a he not a she unless I been wrong this whole time? If is a she, thumbs up from me for not figuring it out then.  :P

Instead, we get male armors reskinned onto female characters.

I dont see them reskinned onto females myself, the shapes are different. Now, Sunset Overdrive, that is set for either male or female.  A guy can wear a skirt, a female can have a beard.  The clothes made to cover any body but player is told, try those that would actually fit. The ball cap was too big for my girl. This isnt the case I see in DAI.

To swing this slightly off of the topic of clothes, one of my concerns is that they won't show a nonhuman Inquisitor for the trailers, or even a lady that's not white.  I restate that I think this would be the perfect time to show off what the Frostbite engine can do.  For the first time, a darker skinned PC can exist without looking like a tanned white person.  Or otherwise just kinda...off.

I'd love to see a helmet-less non-human female PC that isn't a white gal.  C'mon, show the world what that pretty pretty engine can do for a RPG!

As a side note: I found out recently that this is going to be the first RPG on the Frostbite engine.  It's obviously been in use for awhile, but no other RPG uses it at the moment.  So a lot of what we are going to be seeing with the CC options are something that no one has really be able to see before.  Everytime I see the White Guy with Stubble or the Dark Haired White Lady, I sigh a little bit.  It seems so underwhelming in light of what I've already seen this engine do for character models and textures.

It would be nice for a trailer to have a female shown for once, not as being questioned, was that her. Any color, but would be nice to show off the engines capabilities.

First RPG on Frostbite, that is definitely something. :D

I wish people would stop accusing devs being "lazy" for not including stuff they want in the game because "it's so easy to add X" or "just make a toggle button. :(

There is a woman who uses this account occasionally.

I can't say. Haven't played Sunset Overdrive.

For an official trailer, sure, I'd be down with that.  It would be nice to see a high resolution quality video with her in it.  One of the major ones used on TV, on blip and on other sites.  I'm biased, admittedly.  You know how much I love the dwarves of Thedas.  Still, I'm happy to compromise.   :wizard:

My advice is to just disregard them.  Oftentimes, they don't know what they are talking about, or they underestimate the amount of work involved.  Sometimes, you gotta have a duck's back on the forums.  Just let that stuff roll off of you and try not to stress.  <hug>

My bias is definitely for a female qunari but I'd be happy with a female dwarf and for either to have darker skin tones and more interesting hair styles etc, just don't be a blink and you'd miss her even being there trailer please.

Honestly while I'd prefer either of those races I'd be happy with a dark skinned elf or human woman or a trailer that showed the lady inquisitor kicking butt and actually really involved in the action... pretty please.  :D

Since it was brought up in this thread a few pages ago, Colbert went over Gamergate and had Anita come on.

http://www.themarysu...olbert-segment/

I'm sad that DAO was pretty much the only game they gave an example of in the news snippets.
