I'm going to laugh at myself at how long I'm going to be setting up the game before I actually play it.  I've got to get it installed, then fired up.  Then graphics set (both in-game and making a profile for my vid card,) and then also checking the keybinding options.  Then, it's off to spend Odin-knows-how-long in the CC.  Then, I'll probably hit the first cutscene, be dissatisfied with the result and alt-tab to quit.  Then I'll probably end up in the CC again.  

 

I have a sinking feeling this is going to happen probably 2-3xs before I actually get into the game.  

 

Thank god for early download is all I can see. I'm betting I'll spend a good day or so in the CC.

I just don't know if the early download will allow us to see our character in the first cutscene after creation.   That's where my judgement for my toon's look is going to be found.  I may or may not have done that a crapton in the DA and ME games.

Same here.  

 

I actually know what I want the look to more or less end up being.  The problem with a lot of BW games, I've noticed, is that there can be a huge difference between what the CC shows and what the end result looks like.  So the saddest part of all of this is I'm going to be spending much of that time making tiny little tweaks here and there constantly.

I'm betting I'm right up there with you on the Mirror of Transformation.  So many times; I liked to change hair styles to reflect the different periods in Hawke's life.

Don't even get my started on noses in CC.  My poor poor first Shep...and my poor first elf in Origins.  Like plastic surgery gone horribly wrong.

Haha, it's gonna be a default nose for me.  Cheekbones and jawlines I'm not terrible at, but screw trying to get the nose right.  I don't think I'll have that much patience.

I chose a default nose and when I screw it up, I go back to the default and fix it. I basically design the face first, nose last.

We're definitely going to have to start a screenshot thread for the lady Inquisitors.  I'll admit, seeing the PC that others are going to create is one of the things I'm really looking forward to once the game is released.

My characters tend to look great in CC but then there's that one flaw that bugs me until it's all I can see. At which point no matter how many hours I've put in the character gets scrapped. 

 

For most people the console command that gives them money is the one they learn first for me it's CC. 

 

I loved the mirror in DA2 and it was great for RP especially once the hair and make-up mods started coming out.

Considering the lighting in the CC is supposed to be better and line up with the majority of cutscene lighting throughout the game you might have less irritation in cutscenes... of course that could mean it's somewhere else you find something that bugs you but hopefully if the lighting is consistent (and good) you can get the look sorted in the CC properly in one epic session. 

 

They have said that they're looking into a mirror of transformation option to add in via a patch so fingers crossed we get that in the not to distant future for perfecting/changing the look of inquisitors as wanted/needed.

Never heard back from the mods if the group was okay for temporary measures or not, but nobody said "no", so I'm running with it. It's technically BioWare-related. Sort of. If you squint.

Sorry for the news, but we had already organized and sent the goodies a long while back. Around July. 

 

Pretty much coordinated everything through Paypal.

Yeah, somehow you ended up on one of my posts from June and quoted that. I got a notification that someone had quoted a post of mine, so I came here and got a good chuckle out of it. 

 

We still have the group set up from when we organized this, in case we ever end up doing something like that again, so I'll pop you a group invite. That way, it'll be easy to notify you if something starts organizing again.
