Hell yeah i'd like to see a fem inquisitor in ads and gameplay demo vids.

Give her a bomb ass booty that when she start walkin' the left cheek go BOOM! then the right, BOOM! the left, BOOM! BOOM!BOOM!BOOM! That Gianna Michaels' jump off right there.

That has got to be the most gorgeous Qunari art I've seen yet.  People would go CRAZY (in a good way) if that were presented by Bioware as something official.

 

But seriously now, playing as a fem pc is a gameplay feature and gameplay vids at live events could count as advertisement too, and be used to showcase the cc feature. Part of me thinks they are saving it for when the cc demo is released.

 

Yeah I mean, fundamentally playing as a female is an option in the game. They went as far as to create the female character and hire TWO voice actors for her. WHY DA HECK not advertise that they've done this? I mean why bother creating the option to choose your gender if they're not gonna showcase it?

My personal opinion is that it would be best if you used the Lady Inquisitor art to promote the game, on, say, Twitter, or Deviant Art, or what-have-you, rather than filling this thread with fan art when people are expecting discussion.  Or, you could create a thread specifically for posting fan art of the female Inquisitor.

Thanks! And yeah I *technically* have a deviantart, but I haven't posted anything in... several months there. Whoops. I do have a tumblr for just art though, which gets updated far more often. Not a whole lot of Dragon Age art yet but I also only started getting back into the fandom like a week ago, haha.

The art is great, by the way.  I just don't want to see a discussion thread turn into a look-at-my-fanart thread, because then the request to see more of the Lady Inquisitor in promotional materials will probably not be taken as seriously.

 

And yet I do encourage you to share with Dragon Age on Twitter, on Facebook, etc.  Get the word out there that people are interested in the Lady Inquisitor.  I can't, as I'm not on Twitter or Facebook or Google+.  I avoid social networks.  I've been tempted by Twitter, but I still haven't taken the dive.  I had been thinking, in fact, of making a Femquisition Twitter account specifically to encourage fans to post their fan art etc. to, say, #Femquisitor or #Femquisition or #LadyInquisitor or what-have-you, so that we could encourage the Dragon Age marketing team to realize that yes, there is an interest--and also get the word out to people who might be interested but don't know that they can be a female Inquisitor.

 

That said, anyone who does have a Twitter account is certainly welcome to make the leap in my stead, since I remain undecided about whether to do so.

While I appreciate the concept art showing Femquisitor, I still really hope that a) they don't just throw a few screenshots online a day or two before the game comes out (the way it was done with ME2), or b) they don't make the female character's presence in marketing dependent on a beauty contest (see: ME3).

I really liked the posters by Jason Chan that showed different genders and races for the Warden, and the trailers of ingame footage for each origin that depicted different Wardens before DA:O came out. More marketing like that, please.

I'm in complete agreement with you.  Her design should be based on the concept of who she could be, not on who the fans find most attractive.  And she should be given actual, honest-to-goodness marketing.  Images posted relatively early on.  If there is a trailer it should not be out only shortly before release, and it should preferably not be online-only.  Or if it is online-only, they should heavily promote it, for instance by putting it into their online advertisements--you know the kind.  The ones that track you, or pop up on gaming sites.  Female Inquisitor would be sooo much more welcome than the creepy Wartune ads that always seem to pop up.

Yes I liked those posters too. If there is no female inquisitor trailer then I guess I could be saited with some in game footage.

There is a dedicated forum to fan art, any thread with pictures should really be put there. I was just trying to break up the dubious undertone created by some. I would like to see a femquisitor thread open up for discussion at some point (like the femShep thread in the ME section.)

Anyone remember what the marketing was like for DAO and DA2? Did they pretty early on start having female concept art? Or not really? Has Inquisition marketing been different in any way thus far?

Isn't it though?  I gather it's going to be one American and one British accent in the English version.  They are also experimenting with pitch-sliders, so you might be able to alter the pitch of the basic voices too.  If that makes it into the final game.  Which I hope it does. 

 

I'm contemplating a falsetto Qunari for laughs, but realistically, it'd get pretty annoying after about 20 seconds ... I'm an alto-to-tenor IRL.
