Hell yes! And with Arishok size horns and forehead deformation, not cute little nubs. The cute little nubs should be for child Qunari.

Now on this we can agree. I want massive horns. Maybe not the forehead deformation but massive horns I want so bad.

The nubs are meh.

It was the 80's when Stan Lee wrote She-hulk, it's not really the same thing as Shepard as they both Hulk and She-Hulk exist in the same universe. She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters alter ego and is Bruce Banners cousin.

And I'd want my qunari's horns to be in proportion (as well as her head). Heh.

Honestly, I'd just be happy if the qunari females look like qunari females. After DA2, I wouldn't put it past BioWare to announce that, yes, in DAI, you can play a qunari! ...But only a super-special Sten-era qunari and not the revamped version seen in DA2 concept art and in comics. Because qunari born without horns have a special destiny and not because we want to save on art assets at all.

Yes I'd want enormous horns... Though I'm hoping they'll give us good enough customization options so you could have anything from no horns to huge and everything in between.

On this front, I am very hopeful. They said at one of the PAX Prime panels last year that they were looking at a variety of horned animals for inspiration.  Including species where both the males and females have horns.  They promised us horned female qunari, and I gathered this to mean that they wouldn't make us settle for just little stubs.

Whats strange though is that in both pieces of concept art featuring female Qunari Inquisitor, not only have the horns been small but theywere like, forward portruding, as opposed to jutting out towards the back of the characters head, like the Arishoks horns did (or even the male Qunari character creator screens we saw, with the war paint designs).

Uh oh - that kind of makes me nervous. :P I hope they don't feed us any crap like "Well in nature male animals have large horns to enable them to fight their competition and protect the females" to explain away why Qunari ladies get stuck with tiny horns??

We've seen females with bigger horns in the comics. None at Arishok level, but I think his were artificially enlarged.

Ok, here is an example of a failing marketed product. Bound By Blood, I wont get into much details cause its not a Bioware game. I ended up having to wiki it just to get information I wanted. The release trailer just shows mostly men battling skeletons, customization in any possibility was lacking. I had to Google or wiki to get any true info I wanted.

Back to subject at hand, I knew about Bioware since first day Baldurs Gate came out. I knew what to expect. Now that's us, here, online, nearly over half the country cant google or wiki information. Now to tie back to previous statement.

If DA:I trailer doesnt reference able to play females through its commercial, alot of people wont know about it. Example of failing to advertise that tidbit is exampled by what I mentioned. Im guessing and hoping before october a new trailer will represent females in logical armor fitting.

Keep in mind that Trailers cost money, and EA likes to blame poor game sales on females being featured predominantly on the cover.

So yes, a female Inquisitor trailer would be nice. But it doesn't seem likely.

Agreed!

I too had to google Bound by Flame (and I only even tried in the first place because I've been searching for an RPG to tide me over til Inquisition). And let me tell ya... it was VERY difficult to get any sort of clear information on customization, companions, etc.

The only people who are going to know information outside of what you're showing in the trailer are people who are already fans.

Oh, this was brought up before, and I'm late on responding to it. The reason Catwoman with Halle Berry failed for me, which I have yet to watch. It isnt cause of her, its cause when that mask goes down, she is replaced by a guy with implants. I don't want myself misled like that. So it had nothing to do with a female. Im not against transgender either, if it sounded as such, sorry. I do have a friend that is trans.

Do you have a link to back that claim up?

Part of the issue is that there really aren't that many games with female protagonists that have huge marketing budgets. It's really difficult when you're comparing a huge selling series with heavily marketed male presence with a smaller game with either both genders or a female protagonist. Apples and oranges really.

I don't know if this is an EA-specific thing, but there are interviews out there (DG is an example) where devs talk about an inclination of commentators to view the failure of games with female protagonists as somehow being explained by the fact that the protagonist was female instead of the game being crap.

They appear like he had extra horn matter attached on, from how he has bands right around where normal horns will end. Granted this was before Iron Bull so the only other horns I had to compare at the time were his soldiers.

Instead of having the female Qunari look like they do in most of the concept art (slim, often big breasted, and around the same hight as human males though this is fine for humans) like this:

LadyQunariNo_zps7bb3e44a.jpg

I would rather have them be muscular, small chested (since breasts are mostly fat and very athletic women lose their breast size or get implants which looks really weird and  with a body that has zero fat anywhere else) almost as tall as Qunari males, with a thick neck and bigger horns which is a compromise between pretty pretty princess and extreme body builder I think. Still muscular and more unique looking like the males but not as extreme:

I don't mind curvy but if she's the same height as human males I'm gonna side eye the game. Qunari are GIANTS they shouldn't be the same damn size as humans.

I like curvy, but I want female Qunari to look different than the rest.

Personally, I think the Elves should have the least curves due to them being lithe and all.

Fair enough. We can agree on wanting them taller than human men though right? :P

VERY NICE! Thanks for drawing those!

That's pretty much exactly what I'd like to see as well. No good reason for them to go option A. Ugh I'm nervous.

I agree, ideally to me female elves would be slender, humans curvaceous, dwarves chunky, and Qunari muscular. With the males this is true bot with the females they all look too samey for my taste.

Indeed :D
