Well, it's Frostbite. I highly doubt it will look awful unless you try.
The hairstyles on Varric and Cassandra already look very bad and poorly done and I had no hand in those...The textures and resolution may be better, but that doesn't mean the options wont be as limited as they have been in the past. For example in ME3 if I want to make a character that looks like me, I can't. The mouth slider (and all the other sliders) has such a small range and the mouth it lets you have is much wider than mine. You can't change the tilt of the eyes or the angle of the nose, you have very little control over the shape of the face, etc...all of BioWare's CC's have been like that. Limited. I can easily create myself or anyone I can imagine in a game like Saints Row IV or the Sims. I wish BioWare would switch to this type of CC even if it's restricted to the face only.

I can understand us all being shallow or superficial at some point. My problem is it's nearly always directed toward women's looks and not men's!
I feel like almost every female character Bioware creates, they sit there and think "hmmm how sexuality attractive is she, scale of 1 to 10?" whereas they're a lot more free to do whatever they like with male characters because they're not limited to creating something people would want to bang.
I agree with you on this.
I also liked ME3 CC though was a lack of few hairstyles I would liked to use.

Just wanted to say that I really like this concept for female Qunari. I would love to have something like this in the game.Instead of having the female Qunari look like they do in most of the concept art (slim, often big breasted, and around the same hight as human males though this is fine for humans) like this:
Unmistakably female.
Unmistakably Qunari.

So...you like how crude, chunky, and low res the hair looks compared to the realistic textures on the face, clothing, etc...?
*snip*
That random shiny black tube around the back of Cassandra's skull is an especially nice touch...
You know those were Pre-Alpha shots. And their capture camera was having problems, specifically with hair.

I haven't been that impressed by anything graphically apart from mostly the lighting.
Forget making a character look like you, the custom shepards have a hard enough time not looking like each other. They just look like they've had plastic surgery, and close siblings at best.
I don't think all of Bioware's character creators have been that bad, Wardens and Hawkes don't look like each other at least. Saints Rows' are amazing though, it's slightly cartoonish yet look at all the uncanny resemblances that are possible to make: http://www.youtube.c...bPdAxSFitA7E2hV
I wouldn't hold Bioware up to that standard though, they're pretty much at the top of the game.

Well, when they show something better then my fears will be assuaged. For now, my hopes for good hairstyles are not high. They've never been good at modeling hair and have never really known what was stylish and appealing. ME3's female hairstyles were the worst offenders, all those ponytails and buns that made the back of her skull look like it had a basketball shaped tumor...ugh.

Female quanari should be taller than male humans. I don't consider women taller than me to be less attractive honestly. Thats a bit shallow thinking, which I can agree, too many men can be superficial.
The irony here is that nearly all women find a man who's shorter than them unattractive. ![]()

True, but to go so far as to rail against there being a short male character or species in a video game?

Varric's still looks chunky and low res and you can't see enough of Cassandra's to tell. Look, you can like the PS2 hair all you want but it will take much better than either of these to impress me.

yeah it's a completely personal "versus your own height" thing. For example lots of people will be romancing varric for sure. Still a bit sad irl though

I would rather have them be muscular, small chested (since breasts are mostly fat and very athletic women lose their breast size or get implants which looks really weird and
with a body that has zero fat anywhere else) almost as tall as Qunari males, with a thick neck and bigger horns which is a compromise between pretty pretty princess and extreme body builder I think. Still muscular and more unique looking like the males but not as extreme:
I love the difference in the cutesy eyes. Still, a Femnari should still be able to use winged eyeliner if she wants.

Speaking as a short guy, one day, there'll actually be a character who's both well proportioned and short in a video-game without having to be an elf. One day.

Complain, yes. Boycott something, become enraged, and demand it be changed? No.
There were several guys saying they would straight up kill Cassandra as soon as they met her in the game because her jaw was too wide for their fantasies.

There might be something wrong with my eyes, but I honestly can barely notice a difference between DA:I and this game. Is it that the strands are more individually detailed? I just don't get the difference I'm seeing.

People said the same about Morrigan's face being too pointy, or Isabella's jaw in DA2. Some people are just a bit coo-coo for cocopuffs.

Honestly, I would want to see Varric's romance story as well and thats rare. I didnt care for previous other male romances, but Varric's, I'd definitely try out to see how that goes.

That girl in Beyond Two Souls just looks uncanny. Ellie's hair is pretty nice though.
